The Wheels on the bus

"Okay, Wends. I can forgive you if you promise not to play it any more today." The headmistress bargained as she carried Wednesday inside. "Be a good girl, please?"

"...fine."

Wednesday curled up in Weems' arms as the older woman sat down at the table, refusing to sit in her own chair. The little watched as Marilyn sat across from them, and Enid next to her. Though Wednesday wasn't really in a talking mood, she was pleased when her friend started up her usual stream of nonsense, as it gave her something else to think about.

"Anyway- do you wanna know that bad word mommy said?" Enid whispered, making Wednesday laugh a little. "Okay- she said-"

"Enid-"

"Yes?!" Enid shouted in surprise, jumping up and away from Wednesday. Marliyn was holding the menu.

"I asked if you wanted chicken tenders or mac and cheese."

Letting go of the breath she didn't know she was holding, she thought for a second. "Mac and cheese! Oh oh oh can I get chocolate milk?"

"Ha ha, of course, sweetie." The teacher smiled, watching as the waiter wrote everything down.

"Wednesday?"

"Nuggies."

"They have chicken tenders, dear."

"No."

Weems sighed, looking at the waiter. "Get her the tenders please. And apple juice if you have any."

"Right away ma'am." The waiter rushed away, not wanting to be around a little who looked ready to kill.

"No! Nuggets!"

"It's the same thing, Willa." Enid tried to help, "If you don't like them we can trade."

Wednesday put her head on the table, not wanting to deal with the decisions anymore. She already told them she wanted nuggets, why won't they listen? She also wanted her song but that was already bargained away. Lifting her head up and turning her face to the side, she pushed it into Larissa's chest, sniffling sadly.

"Honey, you're okay." The woman soothed, readjusting Wednesday in her lap so she was more cradled in her arms. "Someone woke up on the wrong side of bed today, huh."

"No." Wednesday huffed, clinging to Larissas shirt with her small fingers. "Not wrong."

Enid, who had been watching her friend, crawled up into Marilyn's lap and opened up her iPad, feeling bored. She cuddled up with the redhead, who quickly connected the iPad to her Bluetooth headphones and placed them over the werewolf's hair. Larissa pointed it out to Wednesday.

"Look, we could get you some of those, like I said earlier. They look alright, and Enid has them."

Growling, Wednesday tugged at the woman's shirt, staring up at the woman with pleading eyes.

"You can have milk after you eat." Weems said as the waiter came back over with two kids cups and the bottle of wine Marilyn asked for.

"I do apologise, but we have a no nudity policy here." The waiter pointed to the sign. Apparently the establishment was not Little friendly. "If you would like, you could use the restroom to feed her."

Larissa glanced down to Wednesday who looked shocked.

"No 'ilk?"

"After we leave, then okay?"

Tears started to form in the goth's eyes as the girl sucked in a breath of air. Thinking fast, the tall woman rushed outside as soon as she could, holding the girl in her arms.
