Start from the beginning

She softly laughs at his silly ideas, "No certainly not. My mother taught me from when she had to hide her face when she traveled alone." She smiles again, "she taught me many things before she passed."

"I see. I am glad she was able to share her wisdom with you. But to address your statement," Leo's words were soft and a bit somber, "technically I could retire and settle down, however in this reality it is not an option I have. I made an oath a long time ago to be a guide and a protector for those who are lost on their path. And to protect children in general, of course. That's less philosophical and more literal." Leo sprung up to his feet and stepped past Syla. His back now faced towards her.

"The life I lead is tough, dangerous, and aside from my traveling company.. It can get a bit lonely. But that's how it has to be. If I were to marry, I would be gone from home often, and I couldn't take a wife on my journeys. After all, the more members in the party, the more likely danger is to find us. I wouldn't want to put my potential wife or future children in harm's way.." Leo stood there silent for a second and then turned around to face Syla. His face was a few inches from hers.

"Besides, who needs to settle down when I get to travel with such a beautiful princess such as yourself. Haha, some people would say I'm a lucky man just for that fact alone!" Although Syla couldn't see his face again, she could tell that he was smiling a playful grin. His eyes portraying his emotions effortlessly.

Her face lit up again at his compliment. She looked away, covering her face with the back of her hand to hide her shyness once more. He is as bold as before. She says to herself as she recalls all the moments of his spontaneous movements and gestures. "I see.. I suppose you may be right."

He chuckled again to himself then took a step back, bowed, and extended his hand out. "Well, would the beautiful princess of the kingdom of Wulworth accompany me into town?"

Her face couldn't help but ignite every time he called her beautiful. It could be that she  hasn't really had anyone call her that, let alone a handsome and charming man that Leo was. Even other potential suitors that had tried asking to court her prior couldn't make her face spark like this. When she turned her attention back to him, looking at his hand extended out towards her. She took a moment to calm herself before taking his hand.

"Of course, however.." she looked down at her dress. "I'll probably have to change into something else. I wouldn't want to stand out, right?" She put her free hand up to her chin to think. "I suppose I do have my horse riding attire.. it would probably be more suitable for not standing out." After she rambles to herself for a moment she remembers she had yet to let go of his hand and quickly takes it away, her red cheeks returning. She swiftly moves over to the wardrobe across the room and grabs the outfit in question. And moves behind a partition in the corner of the room. Once behind it, she takes a deep breath, this knight will be the death of me. She says to herself, feeling her heart pounding in her chest. She pokes her head out from behind the partition. "Um, just give me a moment to change! You can wait there or outside!" Slipping back behind, she starts to change.

Leo chuckled to himself at Syla's response to him. I see, she must not get many compliments from others, well maybe aside from her dressers or father. It's kind of cute seeing how flustered she gets. Leo thought to himself. I should tell her about the outfit I was able to get for her, but I also want to see her idea of a "not standing out" outfit.

"I will just step out to give you your privacy, princess," Leo said as he began to walk towards the door. "I will be right outside the door when you are ready." Leo stepped outside and made sure the door closed securely.

"You know, aside from me still being exhausted from my journey here and those steps, I'm enjoying my time here." Leo spoke out loud to himself. His voice was quiet, but the sound still reverberated through the large hallway.
