As she opened the door she was met with the shirtless back of her mate, leaning over a tall she-wolf with curly brunette hair and long legs.

Anger filled her veins as the beautiful she-wolf pulled away from her mate, smirking as she made eye contact with Cassie's now fierious blue ones.

Jace turned his head as he followed the woman's eyes to find his mate standing at the door, "This is not what it looks like." He said, immediately taking a step away from the still smirking she-wolf.

Cassie growled at the brunette, lunging forward towards the woman whose face contorted from victorious to scared as she shrieked at the smaller approaching wolf. Just as she was about to get her hands on the shrieking woman she was caught and pulled against a hard chest, "Stop."

"Let me go!" She shouted, thrashing in his arms until he eventually freed her. She swirled around, her eyes glowing as she stared up at her mate's stoic expression, "You can't hurt her." Cassie swallowed the forming lump in her throat as she furrowed her brows in reply.

"She is the only daughter of Alpha David, Alpha of tunic pack and one of our newly formed alliances." He explained, cautiously stepping closer to his raging mate. "Is that all you care about right now?! Some stupid alliance??" She questioned, her voice breaking as she shouted the words.

"You don't understand, Cass. This alliance is important, it could very much be-" he was cut off as Cassie let out a threatening growl, "Is that why you were in here kissing her? With your shirt off?" She questioned "Are y'all planning to have some kind of secret 'arranged marriage' that I wasn't supposed to know about?"

"I.. I wasn't kissing her." He said, stepping closer so that he was towering right above her. She looked up as she let out an amused scoff, rolling her eyes at the ceiling, "Cassie, I'm serious I was-" before he could finish he was being slapped across the face by his now crying mate.

"I don't believe you!" She shouted. "Goddess, I knew I should've been more worried! I mean you're literally known as a playboy around school!" She shouted, spiraling as she ran a pale shaky hand through her still fading hair. "You've been my mate for what, two days? and you're already all over some other bitch?" She spat, motioning towards the other she-wolf still in the room.

Her face and voice held so much anger but underneath all that was hurt and he could see it. He had fucked up. "Cassie.." he tried, his voice soft and barely above a whisper. "I'm done."

He went quiet as the words left her mouth, "..What?" He questioned. "I-I'm done, Jace." She repeated, her voice breaking as more tears fell down her face. "What? No wait- just.. just wait a minute. Let me explain." He said, stepping in front of her as she tried to walk out. This was the most frantic she'd ever seen him.

She lifted both her hands, successfully stopping him from coming any closer, "No, just.. just shut up and leave me alone. I don't want to reject you but.. I can't handle seeing you right now." She replied, her voice stern but hurt as she looked away from him to the door.

She hadn't even noticed her other mates there until now and the looks on their faces made her want to cry all over again, "Give me some time to figure out what I want to do." She said walking away towards her three other mates who's faces switched between glaring at Jace to worrying about her.

"You're not- you're not going to reject me.. are you?" He questioned, yet again his voice was soft and barely above a whisper. He didn't even turn around when asking the question but kept his back to her, cautious about what expression he may have been making.

Cassie paused by the door, silent tears started to fall down her cheeks as she took a deep breath, "I don't know." She answered truthfully, leaving the gamma alone in the room with the she-wolf. She didn't know why she left him in there with her again, she probably shouldn't have done that but she was in so much pain.

It was hard to breathe and her vision was blurry both from the crying and loss of oxygen. She stopped in front of her door, leaning a hand on it to steady her swaying body. "Cassie.." she clutched at her chest as she turned to find both Ryder and Will standing behind her, looking at her through worried eyes.

"I need to be alone right now." She stated before they could say anything else. Will visibly tensed at her words while Ryder swallowed nothing, "Okay, if that is what you want then we'll go. But I hope you understand that we knew nothing about this, please don't punish us for something Jace did." He begged. Cassie glanced at them before looking away and opening her door, "Okay.." she whispered before slipping inside and shutting the door behind her.

Once she was alone and inside the walls of her own room she collapsed on the floor, sobbing as everything that happened played in her mind. She was strong, or at least she considered herself to be strong and yet the thought of her mate trying to fuck some other girl two days after they found eachother made her somewhat insecure.

Was it because she was an omega? Was she not enough for his dominant wolf? He needed someone stronger, someone faster, someone.. better?

Was everything that happened up until now some sort of play? A trick? Did he even actually like her or her wolf?

Could they ever go back to how they were? But even if she wanted to.. Could she ever forgive him?

Would she ever be able to trust him again?
