While the preparation of Adufe's traditional wedding ceremony was going on. The palace has been busy, more relatives has arrived to participate and help out.
Prince Adewale was out in the palace field having Men's day out with his intimate friends Akaani the song of Mayegun, Aderewaju the prince of Egbaland, Akanji the son of Balogun, Adigun and Àjàní. Their relationship is like that of a brotherhood, they are practicing different Yoruba sports such as ijakadi known as wrestling), archery, horse riding and sword fighting.
they are well built with a moderate height except Akaani who is the tallest of them all, with biceps and a rich dark skin tone that shows good maintenance.
They were all engaged in their sport activities and unbothered about what's going on in the palace.
Bewaji has a black cat named adunni, she was given as a gift by her father. But for sometime now she has been so forgetful and had neglected the poor car.
Nobody else liked the cat, because of the superstition Yoruba people have about cats that it could get easily possessed so everyone treated it weirdly, some take to their heels when they see it.
People already considered her to be odd and strange so they are not surprised she has a cat as a pet.
Bewaji has been running tirelessly around the palace quarters looking for her cat. After seeking her sister's forgiveness and heeding to her father's warning to be on her best behaviour.
she didn't bother giving a helping hand with her sister's preparation since nobody asked her. Moreover everything is being managed well. Bewaji never like being a crowded space especially with so much unfamiliar faces. Anyway she is invisible so nobody will notice her.
So she decided to go look for her cat whom has gone astray.
She has searched around but no signs, her face looking both confused and hopeless. I hope someone hasn't harmed my adunni, she hope
Fortunately Her handmaid wonuola passed by her carrying a tray of palm wine and fried meat with stew.
She stopped to ask her; wonuola
"Yes my lady"
Please have you seen my adunni anywhere
Wonuola looked confused as to who adunni is.
Pardon me my lady, but I don't think I have come across anyone with that name in this palace.
Wonuola, I am talking about my cat Adunni that the king gave me.
Oh, I am sorry my lady I haven't seen it.
You may take your leave.
Yes my lady
Bewaji sought to not give up on her search, she has missed the cat. She is blaming herself for not taking good care of Adunni.
There is no one she could report too that will be willing to help her in her search.
Bewaji found herself outside the palace quarters and was walking towards the field while calling out the cat "Adunni Adunni where are you"
From where she stood, she sighted a group of five shirtless men out on the training field, their dark sweaty bodies glisten under the scorching sun wearing sokoto kembe as some engage in wrestling, some were drinking and one was the horse. They were having fun as they roar in laughter and chattering away.
