A Vex Problem

Chapter 4 -The Initiation (Part 1) -

"So, Pyrrha, have you given any thought to whose team you'd like to be on? I'm sure everyone must be eager to unite with such a strong, well-known individual such as yourself," Weiss says.

"Hmm... I'm not quire sure. I was planning on letting the chips fall where they may," Pyrrha responds.

"Well... I was thinking maybe we could be on a team together," 

"Well, that sounds grand!"

Weiss then adopts a scheming pose and manic smile in her head as she begins an inner-monologue, "This will be perfect! The smartest girl in class combined with the strongest girl in class! Together we will be unstoppable! I can see it now! We'll be popular! We'll be celebrities! We'll get perfect grades! Nothing can come between us now!"

"Jaune wait!" Mystogen can be heard in the background as Jaune comes between Pyrrha and Weiss which interrupts Weiss' evil train of thought as well.

"You know what else is great? Me. Jaune Arc. Nice to meet you," He says.

"You again?" Weiss says in irritation.

Pyrrha hurriedly lets herself be seen, "Nice to meet you, Jaune!"

"Yeah, yeah," Jaune pushes Pyrrha aside and continues to talk to Weiss, posing slightly, "So, Weiss, couldn't help but overhear your fondness of me the other day,"

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me!"

Mystogen walks over and stands next to Pyrrha, "I'm sorry for my friend's... interesting introduction,"

"Oh it's quite alright," Pyrrha says, "He seems quite eager,"

"Maybe more than one should be," Mystogen says, "Mystogen is my name by the way,"

"Pyrrha Nikos, it's a pleasure to meet you Mystogen!"

The two focus back in two Jaune's dubious attempts to win over Weiss, "So, been hearing rumors about teams! I was thinking you and me would make a good one! What do you say?"

"Actually," Pyrrha begins which gets Jaunes attention, "I think the teams are comprised of four students each, so-"

"You don't say," Jaune interrupts her as he advances on his new target, "Well, hot stuff, play your cards right and maybe you could join up with the winning team,"

Weiss quickly gets in-between the two of them and separates them, "Jaune, is it? Do you have any idea who you're talking to?"

"Not in the slightest, snow angel," 

"This is Pyrrha," Wiess says motioning to her.

"Hello again!" Pyrrha says.

"Pyrrha graduated top of her class at Sanctum!"

"Never heard of it," Jaunes says.

Weiss scoffs, "She's won the Mistral Region Tournaments four years in a row! A new record!"

"The what?"

"He really doesn't know much for someone being in a Huntsman Academy," Ghost speaks up in Mystogen's helmet.

Weiss begins to wave her arms rapidly in anger, "She's on the front of every Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes box!"

Jaune gasps suddenly, "That's you?!" The design of the cereal box in question is seen with Pyrrha's smiling face on it, "But they only do that for star athletes and cartoon characters!"

"It doesn't seem like the most healthy cereal," Mystogen says as he stares as the design, unsure as to how it appeared in the first place.

"Yeah, it was pretty cool. And yes, sadly, the cereal isn't very good for you," Pyrrha confirms Mystogen's statement.
