"Y/n!! Come draw with me please!!" Is what I hear every ten minutes from my little sister Rosa.
"Coming Ro!!" I told her standing up from the couch and walking towards her playroom. Our parents are always away on work trips so I technically had the house to myself 24/7.
"What we drawing, Ro?" I ask as I sit down cross-legged on the floor next to her
"Me, JJ and you!" She tells me proud of her potato people
"Wow JJ would love this Rosa!" I say to her tickling her, she falls into a fit of laughter which is cut short when she hears the doorbell ring
"I wonder who that could be Ro?" I ask her, picking her up and walking to the front door.
As I get closer I recognise the silhouette standing outside my door. "JJ!!" Rosa exclaims as I open the door, my boyfriend is standing outside with crayons, a teddy bear and a new colouring book for Rosa.
"Hey princess!" He says opening his arms for her
"You need to stop stealing my own sister from me JJ" I point at him, scolding him playfully as he places a kiss on my cheek
"Who wants to bake some cupcakes!" JJ shouts out, me and Rosa raise our hands and run off to the kitchen
"Rosa, should I get your drawing for JJ?" I ask crouching down to her level.
She smiles and nods her head "You did me a drawing RoRo?" I hear JJ say to her as I walk off to her room. He's always loved Rosa and Rosa's always loved him they are beyond cute together. As I walk back to the kitchen I see Rosa in JJ's arms mixing the cake batter already
"Rosa! Here you go!" I say loudly so she can give it to him herself
"Here go JJ!" She says holding up the drawing the highest she can with her tiny arms
"Our own little Picasso am I right?" I say to him as I mix the batter next to him
"This is amazing Ro!" She hugs him and then points out who is who in her potato family which is meant to be us three.
20 minutes pass and the cupcakes are finally done! Rosa is decorating them with JJ whilst I set up our fort in the living room. I was about to finish but I'm stopped by JJ bear hugging me from behind
"I've missed you" He whispers "I've missed you most" I whisper back and spin around to face him "How's your mum and dad?" He asks before kissing my forehead as I nod, I made a rule of no kissing in front of Rosa, speaking of she comes running over with icing and sprinkles all around her face
"Excuse me Princess Rosa did you eat a cupcake?" I ask her, hands on my hips pretending to be cross with her, she looks up at my boyfriend who put his finger over his mouth telling her to keep it a secret
"No," She says smiling "But JJ did!" She adds and quickly runs off, JJ instantly chases her throughout the house whilst I continue to make the fort which Rosa likes to call 'Rosa castle'.
"Guys!! The castle's ready!" I shout up to them as they're now in my bedroom upstairs.
"Coming queen y/n!!" Rosa says giggling as she comes crashing into the pillows
"JJ don't even-" But before I could say anymore JJ does the exact same thing
"You're such a child JJ Maybank," I say laughing at his stupidity
"Okay, what princess film tonight?" I ask Rosa
"Della!!" She shouts out, that's what she calls Cinderella as she hasn't perfected the name yet,
"Della it is!" I respond and sit down next to my boyfriend. Rosa sits on my lap and snuggles up as we watch Cinderella.
The movie ends and I can hear Rosa snoring quietly on my shoulder
"Jayj she's out" I whisper to him, no response, I turn my head slightly and see that he's also asleep on my shoulder. I shake my right shoulder lightly to wake him
"Can you grab Rosa?" I ask him, he stands up and grabs her from my arms.
I stand up and we take Rosa up to her bedroom still trying to not wake her up "You got her?" I ask
him as we walk slowly up the stairs "I got her" He assures me, I can't help but imagine what the future's gonna be like for us as we get older.
Will we get married? Will we have 1,2 or 3 kids? Will we have any kids?
"I love you," He tells me as we get to the top of the stairs
"Why so sentimental all of a sudden Maybank?" I ask smiling and giving his shoulder a tiny nudge
"You know one day this could be us, but with our own child." He tells me softly as we enter her room
"I love you too JJ" I whisper as he lays my little sister into her bed.
I press a soft kiss onto her head and turn her nightlight on from her bedside table, JJ makes sure she's warm by pulling a spare blanket from the closet.
"Night RoRo" I whisper and close her door slightly but leave it the tiniest bit open so she still has light shining into her room.
"So I can kiss you now?" He asks the second we get back to my room
"Hmmm, nah you can wait a little longer right?" I tease him, I walk into my bathroom and do my skincare, me and Rosa have been in our pjs all day, I chucked some sweatpants onto the bed for JJ and he got changed into them
"Have I waited long enough?" He's so impatient "Nope!" I joke
"I don't care," He tells me and kisses me, I pretend to not kiss back at first but give in and kiss him back.
I put my phone on charge, turn the lamp off and turn the tv on
"Goodnight my love," He says to me and I snuggle up to him and fall asleep as he traces words on my back.
No matter what happens, my future is JJ Maybank
