Chapter 2

"So um do you like movies?" I asked trying to create some conversation

"Yeah I do" she grabbed her bag tight why did she always do that I wonder

"Jade can we just have a normal conversation please I'm just trying to be nice, one minute you'll talk the next your clenching what ever is in your hands" I grew a little annoyed

"I'm sorry but you don't know me or why I do what I do" she said sternly

"I'm trying to figure you out and just at the least be friends please?" I said as we parked out the front of the bowling alley.

"Don't let me fall and things may change!" Was all she said as she got out of the car, god she was cryptic that's for sure what the hell did she mean.

I slowly walked along side her giving her space I know she didn't like to be touched. As we made our way to the counter I noticed her looking around and trying to focus her attention any where else but on me, all I wanted was to be her friend at this point, maybe eventually something more but I just want her to be comfortable. We finally made it to the counter

"Just two games please" I smiled at the guy at the counter

"No worries sir, shoe sizes?" He asked

"Well jade?" I gestured for her to go first

"Size 6" she forced a smile

"And you sir?" The man asked

"8 thanks" the man walked and grabbed our shoes

"There you go you'll be on lane 15 enjoy" he smiled I grabbed both pairs of shoes and followed Jade to the lane

"Here you go" I passed her the shoes

"Thanks" she forced a smile honestly I just wish she would say more

"Alright listen to me for one second!" I took a deep breathe "I won't hurt you, I would never, just think of tonight as two friends hanging out bowling cause that's all it is okay? I don't expect anything just to be friends" I smiled as I finished

"Sam can we just bowl?" She asked

"Jade stop trying to do that change the subject, sooner or later you'll have to talk to me" I got annoyed again

"Please can we just bowl and talk about it another time" she said again I could see the tears in her eyes

"Okay your first" I sat back in my seat and rubbed my temples I honestly was falling hard for this girl but she won't let me into her world!

Jades POV

"WOAH" Sam shouted "A STRIKE" he smiled

"Your a good teacher" I giggled running back to my seat

"Oh you're a fast learner" he smiled standing up and picking up his ball, he smiled over at me before throwing it down the lane "darn it" he said hanging his head as he only hit four pins

"What was that?" I laughed as he walked back to sit next to me

"I was letting you win" he smiled placing his hand on my knee but this time I didn't flinch I didn't move I actually let him, was actually ready to let another guy into my life?

"I like this Jade a whole lot more than the other Jade" he smiled I guess he was right I liked it when I smiled and had fun at the start of the night I was really being rude and I shouldn't have if he only knew the reason

"Thanks, I'm so sorry about earlier" I smiled back at him

"Listen it's fine I just wanted to be able to talk you properly and have a good time" he rubbed my arm and once again I let him I don't know why I was so defensive he was just being a sweet guy, and truthfully I think I was falling for him.
