Cinema multiplexes, as well as theater places with just one screen, are complex to think about, even in terms of layout. If you ask me, I'd say the "# sale" refers to the number of screens, therefore, the number of auditoriums in the building.

Similar practices are common in the U.S. as well, with my hometown of Visalia possessing two multiplexes owned by Regal.
