Amy: Then it's time to go. Go signal the others to retreat.

Tails: I'll find Whisper and Espio, then.
Sonic leave though Gemerl approachs Amy.
Gemerl: AMY ROSE. I PERFORMED A SCAN ON SONIC.
Amy: He's Infected. We've all known that.
Gemerl: CORRECT. HOWEVER, I HAVE RAN CALCULATIONS ON THE LEVEL OF INFECTION HE EXHIBITED. IT IS HIGHER THAN PREVIOUS ESTIMATES SHOULD ALLOW.
Amy: It's been a long day Gemerl. What are you getting at?
It switches to Sonic running to Tangle's location.
Gemerl: SUMMARIZING: SONIC'S SPEED IS LOSING THE ABILITY TO STOP THE VIRUS.

Tangle uses charis to defend herself against the incoming zombots.
Tangle: These aren't your gemstones! Your zombots! You don't even want stuff anymore!
Suddenly Sonic slams into a pile of zombots, dispersing them.
Tangle: Finally!
Sonic: Anyone need rescue?
Tangle: Nah! I'm fine.
Tangle kicks the chair to a zombot.
Sonic: I mean your neighbors.
Tangle: Oh! Yeah! Nah! Hah! The block is clear.
Sonic: Amy is calling for retreat. But the minute we stop causing ruckus all over town.......
Tangle: The zombots will go for the big, noisy shuttle, not good.
Sonic: They blocked off everything except for one avenue. Any ideas on how to plug the bottleneck?
Tangle: I sure do!
Tangle backflips away from an attacking zombot.
Tangle: Step one! You pick me up.
Sonic delivers a heavy kick to a zombots head.
Tangle: Step two! I wrap my tail around one of the lampposts.
Tangle: Step three! You wind us between the lamppost and use my tail as a tripwire.
Sonic: That could work. Except—Y'know—You getting infected!
Tangle: Oh, that? PFFFT. Already got it covered.
Tangle leads Sonic over to Jewels museum.
Tangle: I checked on my friend Jewel first thing into town. She was already infected and got the job on me.
Tangle moves her tank top up and shows her left shoulder infected.
Tangle: I've been holding back. Trying to keep from turning too fast. But I'm not gonna last much longer.
Sonic: Tangle.....I'm sorry......
Tangle: For what? It's not your fault.
Sonic: isn't it? Maybe is id listened to Shadow and.... Or I didn't let Metal Sonic go.
Tangle's tail punches a zombot creeping up behind Sonic.
Tangle: You didn't bring Eggman back. That was Starline. You made sure Metal was harmless. Eggman weaponized him again.
Sonic: Yeah. I haven't been able to protect my friends or anyone else.
Tangle: Yeah? Then I guess nobodies guarding that shuttle full of nothing?
