The Roman's Fighting Style

We left the group after meeting the romans who would be helping us, hinata quickly took a liking to the oldest looking one there Tenma, we were told that he's a son of Minerva but he says that even though she's mostly known for art and creative things she is also somewhat known for war so they shouldn't underestimate him which got hinata even more excited and tried to drag the older to the arena and that was when I reminded him that I was the one teaching him not Tenma which calmed him down a bit before he went and took his boyfriend to the arena forcing Kita, Tenma, Ennoshita and I to follow along which was nice, I got to know the three quite well before we reached the arena with hinata already encouraging kenma and getting him a bit excited which was good so we quickly got into practicing which hinata happily showed off his wakizashi which is a japanese sword that was used as a back up if one lost their katana or was used for close combat, hinata's didn't look like the usual as he stated 'bland' wakizashi it had a beautiful sunset gradient to the handle with a sundial engraved into the handle and it glowed like the sun giving off a nice warm feeling for everyone it kinda makes sense why everyone was so close to him at night, he could change the heat it had just by how he willed it, apparently he learned that from his brother Asahi before he left, man I miss Asahi and everyone else at camp I wish he came with us at least "suga-san" said kenma catching my attention 

"oh yes?" I questioned looking at him and smiling 

"what do you think of our matching wakizashi" asked hinata as he showed me his next to kenma's which had a pretty sunrise gradient on it's handle with a cat inscribed on its handle, it also did the opposite of hinata's wakizashi by making it colder around us though that didn't last long as kenma says he hates the cold.

"Kita-san, can we please take a break" asked kenma for the 50th time after he lost once again to Kita Shinsuke the perfect swordsmen "what do you think suga?" asked kita looking at me curiously after I just defeated hinata "sounds good to me, then we can switch out with tenma and ennoshita" I said happy at the thought of learning from them which got a nod from everyone as we walked off to get some water and food, when we reached the mess hall we quickly grabbed some food before looking around hall seeing a few half-bloods here and there but not many then hinata seemed to have spotted someone familiar as he ran over to a table "yahaba!" he said quickly sitting down next to the boy as we followed behind 

"oh hey hinata!" He said looking over at me and the others "hello Suga, Tenma-senpai, Kita-san, Enno" he said nodding at us that we could sit down 

"it's good to see you yahaba, shouldn't you be resting though?" asked Tenma 

"I would be but kentaro and I woke up not too long ago and decided to get some food" he said smiling at us "WoW! The food here is really good" said hinata eating all the food on his plate making the three romans chuckle at his actions "thank you" said Ennoshita happily 

"shigeru" came a voice making us all look up curious on who this new person was 

"hi kentaro" said yahaba patting the seat next to him before going back to his food as silence quickly engulfed the table "who are these people?" said the boy looking at yahaba expectantly "oh right, these are some of the greeks from the quest, that's suga a son of Aphrodite, kita a son of Hygieia, Kenma a son of Hermes and then hinata a son of Apollo" said yahaba pointing to us each individually as he said our names "and this is Kyoutani a son of Potestas and the one who got your friend out of the hole he was stuck in" he said gesturing to the boy who sat down and started eating next to him "mhm" said kyoutani as he started to eat his Hanima chicken 

"then we should thank you, it means a lot to all of us that he came back in one piece even if he was only gone for a day" which he just looked up at me and nodded before going back to eating his action causing yahaba to sigh and lay against the other person sitting next to him ennoshita though his action gone noticed by kyoutani and in response he grabbed yahaba closer to him making us all laugh at that though the two seemed unbothered as yahaba quickly went to tease kyoutani but was quickly shut up by kyoutani threatening to eat all of his food. 

After eating and saying our goodbyes to the two we headed back to the arena to start learning from the two romans which wasn't easy as the romans focused on more spread out techniques and using one hand on the sword while we were taught more fortified and close together techniques and have two hands on our sword which was a bit of a struggle for me but kita and kenma got it quickly while hinata was thriving in the romans way of fighting which was great as he kept the others distracted while I worked on it with kita. 

After quite a few hours we all decided to take a rest and then tomorrow we'd teach the romans how we fight so we said our farewells an headed to the first cohort to find that most of the group wasn't there, only tsukishima, yamaguchi and kuroo were there already fast asleep on their bunks so we all quietly did our nightly routine before getting some sleep, since this was the first cohort some of us had to share beds, oikawa said he'd decide before we left for training so we all looked around for the bunks that had our name and someone else's, I am sharing with kageyama, kita is sharing with yamaguchi, kenma and hinata are sharing, tsukishima is sharing with kuroo and Iwaizumi is sharing with oikawa which was kinda shocking I honestly didn't think he'd have the guts to do that but he is always full of surprises so I didn't dwell on it too much before collapsing on my bed and falling into a deep sleep. 

I woke up slightly to shuffling next to me and as I listen not wanting to open my eyes I realize it's kageyama and he is whisper yelling at oikawa "oikawa-san what the tartarus, how could you do this" he whispered not really as angrily as he usually is towards him 

"I am helping you out!" oikawa whispered back 

"no you aren't" kageyama whispered back before lying down in a huff so I opened my eyes to see him in front of me and smiled "helping in what?" which probably was a bad move because he let out a quiet yelp and fell off the bed which oikawa saw and started laughing though he was quickly shut up as got wrapped into a hug by iwaizumi who was still asleep "suga-san you scared me" he said climbing back into bed 

"hehe sorry about that, didn't mean to but tell me what did oikawa help you with?" I asked curiously making him blush, he's really cute when he blushes to be honest I know he likes me and I like him back but I want to confess to him in the most perfect way possible and that opportunity has not shown itself yet so i'll just wait for it to come though I wouldn't mind if he confessed first "just go to sleep, it was just some stupid sword fighting stuff" he mumbled laying down and facing away from me which gave me a good idea from seeing how tsukishima and kuroo are cuddling so I wrapped my arms around his and pulled him tight "mind if I hold you like this?" I whispered in his ear, making him turn red "

yeah you can" he mumbled barely audibly which made me smile before I fell asleep or at least pretended to my heart was beating too fast to fall asleep again for a few hours.
