Y/N's POV

I left the shack after my awkward interaction with Ford and went to join Dipper and Mabel in their quest for fairies.

"So, where are we finding these fairies?" I said, walking up behind the twins.

"Y/N!" Mabel said, running over and hugging me.

I hugged her back and laughed softly.

"Okay, so, where was that 'enchanted part' of the forest?" Dipper asked.

"Oh, it's this way!" Mabel ran off into the forest.

Me and Dipper ran off after her, catching up to her before I tapped her shoulder and said "TAG!!"

Mabel ran after me, tagging me back and running ahead of me. Dipper ran next to me and I took the opportunity to tag him and dash away.

"Come on guys, no fair! You had a head start!" Dipper laughed.

"Oh shut up bro-bro, we did not!" Mabel shouted, way ahead of us.

"See ya, Dip!" I giggled.

We ran for a pretty long time and tagged each other before we got to the enchanted part of the forest.

"So, you actually found unicorns here?" I asked Mabel.

"Yes! But they were assholes." Mabel said bluntly.

"Pfft, Mabel, I don't think I've ever heard you swear." Dipper laughed.

"Well, they were!" Mabel rolled her eyes.

Ford's POV

Y/N had gone into the forest with the kids to do their own little thing, leaving me in the kitchen alone. I put away all the dishes they had washed and started walking back to my lab.

"Hey, Poindexter." Stanley said to me.

"What is it, Stanley?" I asked.

"I just needed to talk to my brother, is that so bad?" He said.

"I guess not. What do you want?" I sighed.

"I want to talk to you about Y/N." Stanley told me.

"I don't." I said, attempting to walk off again.

"Ford." He put his hand on my shoulder, stopping me.

"What, Stanley? What could possibly be so important about Y/N that you have to talk to me about them?"

"We just really need to talk." Stanley sighed.

A bit more panic than I would like to have slid through my body, suddenly realising that if Y/N told him what happened it would sound really bad on my part. Possibilities ran through my head.

"What if they said something bad about me to him? What if they told him I hugged them?! Why would he want to talk about them?"

"What about them?" I said, trying to stay calm.

"They're trying to be nice to you, Ford." Stanley rolled his eyes.

"I know that, Stanley. And I'm being nice." I replied.

"Are you?" Stanley clearly didn't believe me.

"I'm trying to be. I don't trust them as much as you all do, Stanley." I explained.

"Well then when they get home, me and the twins are going into town. You and Y/N are gonna go do something together." Stanley looked around for his cup he had.

"Your cup is right there, Stanley. And I'm not doing that." I pointed to his cup and groaned.

"Too bad Pointdexter. Gotta get you to trust them somehow!" Stanley chuckled to himself, grabbed his cup, and walked away to the TV.
