It had been years since you and Adam had last seen each other. You had met in college and hit it off immediately, spending countless hours together studying, laughing, and doing dumb shit together. But after college, life had taken you both in different directions, and soon after you lost contact.

One day, you swore you saw him on a busy street corner. He was of course older but you could never forget that face. He was walking to the studio, and you were running errands around town. You recognized each other instantly, despite the years that had passed.

"Adam, Is it really you?" You asked, your heart racing with surprise and joy.

"Holy shit, Y/N?" he asked, grinning. "How have you been?" His face lightened up with confusion. He leaned closer, taking you in for a big hug.

As you hugged, you felt a wave of nostalgia wash over you. You couldn't believe how much you had missed him. Of course you had seen him and his brothers in interviews and stuff but it just felt so unreal to finally see him again in person.

"I'm doing great." You muffled into his shoulder. A small chuckle could be heard from him.

"Would you like to go for a coffee? I would love to catch up after all these years." He said as you pulled apart.

"I'd love to." You answered, while hoping your face hadn't gone all tomato red from the hug.

Over coffee, you and Adam talked about your lives since college.

"So, you and your brothers made it. I'm so happy for you guys." You said, trying to hide the butterflies in your stomach.

"Thank you, It's great," Adam said. "It's been a hell of a ride, but I love it."

You listened intently, watching the way his face lit up as he talked about his job and family. You couldn't help but feel happy for him.

"What about you?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with interest. "What have you been up to?"

"I started my own business," you said, feeling a sense of pride well up inside of you. "It's been a lot of hard work, but I'm finally starting to see some success."

"That's amazing," he said, smiling. "I knew you'd do great things."

You felt a warmth spread through your chest at Adam's words. You had always valued his opinion and hearing him say that meant more than he knew.

You shared stories and reminisced about your college days, and before you knew it, hours had passed.

As you and Adam left the café, he asked. "It's starting to get a bit dark. Would you mind, if I walked with you back to your apartment?"

"Sure, I'd like that," you said, feeling a sense of excitement bubble up inside of you.

You and Adam chatted and laughed as you made your way to your apartment. You felt a flutter in your stomach every time you made him laugh, and Adam couldn't help but feel like he was back in college with you again.

"It's been so great catching up with you," you said, stopping in front of your building.

"I know, it really has," Adam said.

He started fiddling with the end of his jacket. And you swore you saw his face take on a barely visible pink shade.

"Listen, I know this might be sudden after such a long time apart, but would you like to go on a date sometime?" He asked, eyes looking hopeful and nervous into yours, and his face now fully red.

Your heart skipped a beat at his question. You had internally been hoping he would ask that question for years, even back in college.

"I would love that," you said, giving him a gentle and comforting smile.

His face changed from a nervous embarrassed expression to a full on happy but slightly confused face. Like his brain hadn't fully taken the words in jet.

"Wait, really?" he asked, surprised.

"Of course dummy," you said chuckling.

Just as he was about to leave, you took him by the shoulders and leaned in and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

"I'll see you soon," she said, smiling. Feeling like you were about to explode into happiness internally.

Before he could even progress what just had happened, you had already walked into your apartment building. Leaving him a flustered mess.

In the following weeks, you went on several dates, getting to know each other all over again.

"I can't believe we haven't seen each other in so long," you said, as you walked hand in hand through a park.

"I know, it's crazy," Adam said, squeezing your hand. "But I'm glad we reconnected."

You looked up at him, feeling a sense of contentment washing over you. God he had missed you more than you could imagine.

"Me too," she said, smiling. "You know, I always wondered what happened to you after college."

"I wondered about you too," he said, smiling. "You were always the smartest person I knew."
