"Woah" Pablo says as I walk up to him "what do I look bad" i ask confused "no no you look amazing" he says looking me up and down and I blush.

"Get a room" Jana laughs as she's walking by "what a way to ruin the moment" I say resting my head on his chest in embarrassment and he just laughs

Me and Pablo make our way downstairs and into the car that was picking us up to get there.

When we arrived there was fans everywhere outside all screaming and shouting as each player came out "there is no time to take photos with fans just to let you know" one of the security said as we got out the car.

"I feel really bad not taking photos" I say as we start walking towards the entrance "your too kind for this world" Pablo chuckles interlocking our hands

We walked down this red carpet getting our photo taken by loads of photographers and then we made it into the ceremony room."Woah this is so fancy" I say to Jana and alba as we are walking to our seats "wait until you see the ballond'or awards then you will be shocked" Jana says.

We arrive at our seats and sit down I was sat in between Jana and alba and I'm not too sure where Pablo was but he will be hear somewhere.

The ceremony soon starts and they announce the men's best eleven lineup sadly gavi or pedri didn't win win their award and I knew pablo would be upset about it so I was not excited to deal with that.

They then announce the women's best eleven line up. "Alexia putellas , Beth mead , Alex Morgan , Keira Walsh, Sam kerr, Jana Hernandez,Alba Caño,Leah Williamson,Christiane endler,lily peters and Lucy bronze" the host reads out one by one and we make our way up to the stage collecting our trophy's

"We won" I whisper as I stand next to Jana "I know our group chat name never lies" she says and I smile trying not to laugh

Once we sit down they then announce best goalkeepers which Mary won and I was so happy for her as she definitely deserved it.

They then announce the men's best player award and messi wins it which is also well deserved as he is probably the greatest player of all time after me of course.

"The shortlisted nominees for the women's best player of the year is" the host says "I didn't know there was a shortlist" I quickly say "don't worry win or lose we are still the best" Jana smiles

"Alexia putellas, Beth mead and lily peters" they say and my eyes widen and I grab albas and kanas hand as I was literally so nervous that I thought I might poo myself.

"The winner is...lily peters" they say and if I'm honest at that second I think I could of died. I genuinely thought I was dreaming

"He just said my name right" I ask alba "yes now go get your award" she says with a smile pushing me to get up.

I step onto the stage still trying to comprehend what had just happened. I take my trophy and stand behind the stand about to make a speech.

My eyes scan the room looking for him until our eyes connect making an even bigger smile appear on my face and realise just how greatful I am to have him

"Erm I can't even understand what is happening right now, I think I'm meant to thank people so I wanted to thank my family who I know will be at home watching and he super proud of me, also I want to thank everyone at Barca especially my team mates and definitely alba and Jana as I wouldn't probably played if I hadn't met them as I'd of been hiding in the corner. I hope me winning this award shows that there is no age on anything and that you can achieve absolutely anything if you work hard for it and definitely don't let anyone tell you what you can achieve just cause of your age or gender. And definitely last but not least thankyou to all my fans for supporting me everywhere I go and making things like this possible" I say and I shake the hosts hand and head back down the steps

"I won I actually won" I say as he comes up to me wrapping his arms around me "I'm so proud of you" he says kissing my forehead "your now officially dating the best women's player in the world how does it feel" I joke pretending to interview him with the trophy "words can't explain how lucky I am" he says while laughing

"I'm sorry you didn't win" I say as we walk out "it's fine and you winning is me winning" he says "aww" i say "no I meant cause we live together so everything you own is practically mine" he says and I playfully smack his arm.

"Congratulations lily" alexia says coming and hugging me "thankyou alexia" I say as I didn't really know how to apologise for beating someone

"I knew you could do it" Jonatan says as he walks over "I didn't even know you were here" I say with a bright smile "I'm very proud lily this is a major achievement for you" he says "I couldn't of done it without you" I say and he smile

"I can't believe we have to leave straight away and we don't even get to go to Disney land" i complain as we get in the car "I already promised in summer we can go" he says placing his arm around you "will you take one" i ask and he grabs one of the trophies and I hold the hand of his that's around my shoulder "sorry I just like holding your hand" I say with a innocent smile "don't worry about it" he says placing his head on mine

The journey back felt like forever when in reality it wasn't that long and by the time I got home all I wanted to do was go to bed until I saw a surprise as I walked in the front door
