⁰⁶ - 𝐀 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐈𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞

The two girls continue to walk down the hallway meeting up with Jonathan with Nancy putting the flyer on his chest.

"You're coming to this" Nancy says to him as he grabs the flyer

"'Come and get sheet faced'" Jonathan reads "No, i'm not" he says making you roll your eyes

"I can't let you sit all alone on Halloween. That's just not acceptable" Nancy tells him

"Well, you can relax. I'm not gonna be alone" Jonathan says to her

"He's going trick or treating with Will and the boys" you tell Nancy

"All night?" Nancy asks making you nod

"Yeah" Jonathan answers

"No, no way. You're gonna be home by 8, listening to the Talking Heads and reading Vonnegut or something" Nancy tells him making you grasp

"Sounds like you have the powers not me" you say to Nancy making her chuckle

"Sounds like a nice night" Jonathan says smiling as they get to your locker

"Maybe you should go" you say opening your locker "You might even meet someone-" you continue but get cut off by someone coming up behind you wrapping their arms around your waist making you shriek as they spin you around

They put you back down and you turn around with eyes purple only to see it's Steve with sunglasses on. Steve notices your eyes and quickly puts the glasses on you instead as you calm down.

"Jesus, Steve. Don't do that" you say looking around making sure no one saw your eyes

"I know, i'm sorry. I forgot about to powers for a second" Steve says leaning on the locker next to yours 

You pull down the glasses a little for Steve to see that your eyes are back to your normal colour again making him smile a nod.

"Did anyone see?" you ask looking around

"No one saw, it's okay" Steve says rubbing your shoulder

You joined Steve outside in the car park after your last class before the two of you drive over to his house so he can get a change of clothes.

Once you get out of Steve's car at your house the wind starts to blow in your hair. As you and Steve meet at the front of the car he smiles and starts to more your short hair out of your face.

"I don't like it" you tell him

"You're hair? You don't like it?" he asks dropping his hands

"To short. I cant do anything with it" you tell him as you start to move towards the door

"It will grow quickly. And before you know it, it will be done to your butt" Steve says making you giggle as you open the door

The two walk inside to see Joyce and her boyfriend Bob in the kitchen. Bob is videotaping Joyce while she makes some popcorn.

"Hey, guys" Joyce says smiling at the two

"Look it's the young happy couple" Bob says videoing the two making them laugh

"Stop" you say blushing a little

Steve greets both Joyce and Bob before making his way into your room to get changed while you put some of your books onto the table.

"Do you have a crush?" Joyce asks in a whisper
