After tks latest stint in the hospital he had to be there for a few his boys was in septic shock due to an infection that had gotten into his blood he had never felt worse in his whole life . But now a few month later Tk had finished his chemo treatment he had to wait a month to get his scans back to see if the cancer was gone
If it was he could get his life back he could go back to work in 5 months if they came back clear just so they had time for a few more checkups
He wouldn't have to feel like crap anymore
He could marry Carlos

He had been off of chemo for 3 weeks now and his hair had already started to grow back pretty quickly to
Tk didn't tell Carlos what day he got his results back he didn't want Carlos to be disappointed if they came back bad and he didn't want Carlos to take a whole day off to find out and have it come back as a disappointment
Tk waited in the doctors office nervously playing with many stress toys that lingered around the hospital office "Mr Strand ." The doctor said softly "its bad isn't it ?" Tk said jumping to conclusions the doctor couldn't help but laugh " your officially in remission ." The doctor said looking at Tk "as of right now I'm clearing you to return to normal activities and in five months I would like to see you back here and give you a checkup before you head back to work ." The doctor said
Tk wanted to call Carlos so bad but he knew that he had to wait when he got home he made dinner and he made Carlos's favorite cookies oatmeal raisin when Carlos walked through the door he smelled spaghetti and oatmeal raisin cookies "babe ?" Carlos called out "hey how was your day ." Tk asked kissing Carlos on the lips "good much better now that I'm home ." Carlos said looking at the kitchen "what's the occasion ?" Carlos asked " did we have a date tonight ?" Carlos asked checking the calendar "no we did not ." Tk said with a smile "then what am I missing ." Carlos said with a little laugh "I'm in remission ." Tk smiled Carlos picked Tk up swinging him around as they hugged "oh my god thats amazing baby !." Carlos said " when did you find out ?" Carlos asked " today I wanted to surprise you ." Tk said looking up at Carlos Carlos brought his hand tp the back of Tk's neck kissing him again they did that for a while Tk's hands causally grazing the sides of Carlos's hips "do you want to ?" Carlos asked as Tk gave a nod Carlos removed his own shirt before going back to kissing Tk Carlos's hands traveled up Tk's sides before removing his shirt but when he removed Tk's shirt Tk grew quiet he looked down at himself before looking back at Carlos almost as if he was acting for him to say something bad " you don't need this right now ." Carlos said softly Carlos could tell that something had changed since he took Tk's shirt off Tk got tense he was looking at him nervously
They haven't been intimate in 9 months with Tk's hospital visits and chemo they couldn't and Tk felt even worse about it he knew Carlos didn't lie about being okay with it but he felt that he was lacking as a partner even if Carlos wanted to they couldn't
Carlos led Tk to the couch gently their shirts still off "you know you can talk to me right .." Carlos said softly kissing Tk's shoulder "I know" Tk said looking at Carlos Tk took a deep breath in " I feel ugly I have all these scars from some stupid disease . Ugly scars ad not to mention all of the ones on my legs because I can't cope with shit ." Tk said " you don't deserve that ." Tk said playing with his fingers " I think your beautiful .." Carlos said rubbing Tk's leg "scars or not ." Carlos said " I want you to feel safe enough to talk to me if you feeling this way remember when you wanted to harm yourself and you came to me first ." Carlos said " that made me so happy because I knew I made it easier for you and I want that to be with other things to ." Carlos said " I want to ." Tk said " are you sure ?" Carlos asked " I miss you ." Tk said with a small smile
Later they laid in bed Tk drawing little patterns on Carlos's chest " I think your scars are beautiful they show how strong you are ." Carlos smiled Tk looked up at him "how did I get so lucky with you ." Tk asked "shut up ." Carlos laughed " were getting married ." Tk smiled " yes we are ." Carlos said " and I can't wait ." Carlos said
