2004

"Mianhe appa" 18 years old A-Yeong cried while kneeling in front of her father, "Mianhe? Are you stupid or dumb, I told you not to get yourself in trouble!" he hit her with his stick, "you stupid! Ungrateful child!" He shouted and she kept on crying.

He left her in her bedroom, crying with a lot bruises on her body. "M-mianhe appa" she sobbed as she touched the door knob. "E-eomma, please come back home, your daughter needs her solace" she cried while holding her necklace, the necklace that her mother gave her.

"Eomma don't leave me please, I'll be a good girl, I promise!"

She remembered her seven years old self, crying, while stopping her dear mother from leaving. Being the only child is hard for her, she grew up not having someone to cry on. That's why, for some reason, she became friends with her cousin's friends.

"I'm sorry, Dong-Eunssi, Mianhe. I'm sorry for not defending you, I'm sorry " she sobbed, "A-Yeong help me!" She can hear Dong-Eun's screams. "I'm sorry" she threw all her things on he floor before sobbing endlessly. She hugged her knees.

"I can forgive you if you pass the entrance exam"

She remembered what her father said. In order to make him proud, she have to pass that exam. But her only problem is, she have to travel to New York next week and next week is the examination.

She groaned in frustration before gripping her head, "I'm tired, please let me rest" she said with in low tone. "Let me rest, please let me go" she sobbed.

Due to exhaustion, she lost all of her consciousness.

Morning came fast, she was woken up by a knock on the door. "A-Yeongssi?" She groaned and looked around her bedroom, she noticed that she slept on the floor. "Nae?" She asked the person as she opened the door.

"Your cousin is waiting for you outside" Ms. Cheon said, "ah let her in" she said before laying on her bed, "A-Yeong unnie!" Her cousin exclaimed. "Aish shibal! It's too early yet you're here" she threw her the nearest pillow. "Early? Yah! It's already passed 12" A-Yeong immediately stood up and looked at her with wide eyes.

After doing her routine, they both decided to go to school. "Appa, I'll be going now" she said but her father just ignored her.

They both arrived at the school late, as usual. They are in the gymnasium with their friends. She is standing on the side, watching JaeJun playing basketball.

"Ahhhh"

She could hear Dong-Eun's screams full of agony and pain. She just stared until she made some eye contact with her. "H-help me!" She shouted, she wanted to go near them but JaeJun called her, "A-Yeongssi, watch this" he shoots the ball in the ring before approaching her.

"W-we should stop them, this is too much, we could kill her" she whispered, he shot her a glare, "Ani, A-Yeong, my pretty A-Yeong, if you don't want to suffer the same experience just shut your mouth and don't mind them" he said before wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Besides, even if you help her, she'll just suffer even more, remember we can possibly do everything we want here in the school" he added while watching them torture her. His hands travel down her thighs, touching her inappropriately, but still let him do it.

It's been almost a week since that incident had happened. It was already the day before her flight to Canada. It was evening, snowing, when she decided to go to her comfort zone. She reached the roof top and she saw a girl laying on the ground naked with a lot of burns on her body.

"Yah!"

Dong-Eun immediately woke up and covered herself, "are you crazy? What are you doing here? Why are you naked? Aish, is this your way of making me feel guilty of not helping you?!" She questioned her.

She was about to leave when she spoke, "have you eaten?" She asked her, "n-nae" Dong-Eun stuttered while looking at her, "I don't think so, here, take this bibimbap my housekeepers cooked too much, I can't finished it all" she passed her before sitting on the small stool.

Dong-Eun looked at her oddly, "I'll be leaving tomorrow, be happy" she said "with them torturing me?" Dong-Eun asked while taking a bite of the bibimbap, "yah, be thankful that, you'll lose one trash around you" she stated, "You're not bad at all, you're just influenced" Dong-Eun spoke.

"Dong-Eun ssi, remember this, don't ever forget my words, arasso?" She said and Dong-Eun looked at her oddly, "yah, none of them will become my friends if it weren't for my money, in order for me to survive this harsh world, I just go with the flow, I just play their own game, I don't mind at all, as long as I don't get hurt it's ok, but also remember this. Revenge actually exist, if your seeking for revenge, don't just dig one grave, make it two. Arasso" she said before standing up.

"Here"

She threw a lot of cash in front of her, "don't tell anyone about this arasso? Yah! JaeJun ssi 10 minutes is done" she then shouted making her shock, "ooh la la, yah, you're still one mischievous bitch" JaeJun said before kissing her lips passionately. Dong-Eun just stared at them, A-Yeong winked at her.

"I thought you're different from the rest" Dong-Eun said calmly, they both pulled away and looked at the betrayed girl, "aish, listen to this, don't be fool with my innocent charms" she said and she watched Dong-Eun run away. She dropped something on the ground, JaeJun picked it up and scoffed, "Moon Dong-Eun" he read her name, A-Yeong took it from him.

"Yah! Give me that" she left him alone in the rooftop to return the nametag to Dong-Eun. She saw her crying behind the wall, she was about to approach her when she saw her driver waiting for her. She put the nametag in her pocket and entered the car.

2006

Cheating and bribery

Those are the only solution she could think of to get accepted in SNU. She is now studying in the university for almost a year now. She wasn't that intelligent to be honest, Unlike in high school, she don't have a lot of friends in the university. "Do yeong sunbaenim, can you help me with my exam?" she asked her senior.

"Where? What subject?" Do yeong asked her while opening his text books, "literature" she said and he gave her a smile, "what topic do you have a hard time?" he asked her, "everything sunbaenim" she said before pouting.

He just chuckled and continue teaching her, she must admit, it's boring, the only thing that is keeping the surroundings alive is his voice, his cold voice.

After studying he left her, she took a deep breath before eating her bibimbap, the one that she ordered from a nearby shop. She decided to leave when a nametag suddenly fall from her bag, she can't help but to wonder, how is Dong-Eun doing now, is she ok?

She kept over thinking if Dong-Eun is still alive, she don't have any contacts with her friends except for Sa-ra and JaeJun, that's why she have a hard time contacting them.
