Kiara smiled at them all. Sirius couldn't help but trail his eyes down her figure.

She was wearing beige-ish, peach heels with a pink dress that reached her knees with a slit that went up to her mid-thigh on the left leg. The dress went all the way up to her chest, two thin straps resting on her shoulders. Her hair was open in its natural look and she had hoop earrings dangling from each ear, her face adorning some makeup with a beautiful pink lipstick sitting on her lips.

Sirius nervously gulped.

"Potter." She said, her eyes falling upon James.

James turned around, already looking slightly tipsy. "Sharma! Happy coming of age, girl!" He exclaimed.

"Thanks, Gryffindor boy." She replied, throwing her arms around James who warmly embraced back. Pulling back, her chocolate orbs surveyed the rest of his friends.

"Remus Lupin, hello." She extended a hand out, which Remus grasped gently.

"Happy birthday, Kiara Sharma." He greeted, softly shaking the former's hand.

"Thank you."

"Happy birthday." Peter squeaked out, suddenly turning pink in the face with shyness.

"Aw, thanks Pettigrew!" Kiara cheerfully replied before her eyes landed on the last boy in the group, who had been shamelessly gaping at her. Kiara raised an eyebrow, which finally made Sirius snap back to reality as he shook his head lightly, his cheeks tinged red.

"Hi, Kiara. Happy birthday. You look gorgeous."

"Thank you, Mr. I'm too full of myself." She said, laughing near the end. "You don't look half bad yourself." She winked.

"Nice banner.' Sirius commented with an amused grin.

Kiara released a breath, rolling her eyes with a humorous smile, "It was my friend, Evelyn's idea apparently. She goes crazy when it comes to parties." Kiara explained before pausing, "Did you guys even bring me a gift?" She asked teasingly.

At that, Peter and Remus shared a look before turning towards James, who had proclaimed to be the one bringing the gift, but the boy was swaying along to the music, already having gotten tipsy from the Firewhiskey,

"Yeah, I have it."

They all turned to look at who had spoken. Sirius lazily grinned at her. Kiara pretended as if she was searching for it, peeking around Sirius, above and below him.

When she straightened she said, "Well, I don't see it." Placing a hand on her hip in a demanding manner.

Sirius softly smiled at her, "You'll get it when the time comes."

Kiara shrugged before flashing her teeth at the group, "Now you boys enjoy the party, I've got to find my friends. Merlin knows how much chaos Evelyn is causing due to all the alcohol in her system." She muttered the last sentence under her breath as she left the Marauders to themselves.

"She seems nice." Peter commented, as they all watched the girl's retreating figure until she pushed through the crowd in the middle and disappeared within.

"Oh yeah, definitely." Remus added.

"Of course she is! She's kind but also carries herself around confidently. It's one of the many qualities of Kiara Sharma!" James exclaimed, bouncing on the spot.

Sirius let James' words echo around in his head, as he stared off into the distance.

"She really is." He whispered out.

Soon enough, with a couple of more drinks, James and surprisingly Remus were both mumbling sentences, having wrapped an arm around each other.

"Oh, I love Lily! Did you know?" James asked Remus in a singsong voice, hiccupping afterwards.
