CHAPTER ONE

My body felt as if it was paralysed, it was -2 degrees. My scuffed blankets lay covering my bed, no signs of my body showed yet it felt like the cold air was hitting me, I pulled my blankets up searching for any possible warmth, not that warmth existed when it was -2 degrees in my scruffy house near anchorage.

Mum walked into my room to wake me up,I was surprised too see her awake so early, the breakup has really dragged her down with everything, her personality and attitude has changed, It's as if she doesn't care, but I know she does, she always does.

"Mum are you going to work" I said.

"Not today sweetheart" she said in a tired worn out voice.

After that I carried on getting ready for the first day of school, I have a strong dislike for school because it makes me feel so normal, I want to be free, to explore, to live...
