'Well, what did I say? Bloody dumbass,' Nyx groans at the sight before them.

All of their fucking bags were gone. Their food. Their water. All that shit. And Nyx is naturally livid.

At least Saki still had an extra pair of clothes hidden in her cloak.

'Like that shit is gonna matter in the goddamn desert,' Nyx seethes.

Phantom sighs heavily. 'I wanna leave this shithole. There's sand everywhere and it's really uncomfortable...'

'We'll leave soon, Phantom, don't worry,' Saki reassures.

Luffy sits on his knees in front of Nami, his head hung low in shame, a pout forming on his face. "I swear! There were dying birds here a minute ago!" He points at the empty sled.

"I'm so sorry. I should have told you...Wasuragi birds fool travelers and steal their belongings. They're known as the 'Swindlers of the Desert'..."

'She should've told us...' Nyx's deadly aura leaks out, making everyone scootch away from the seemingly unbothered Saki.

"Whaaaaat~?!!"

"Birds pretending to be injured? Those were herons?!" Usopp exclaims in disbelief.

"That's right," Vivi mutters, avoiding Saki's gaze. Poor girl thought the swordswoman was livid, not the other personality living inside of her.

"I was tricked?!"

Saki can almost feel Nyx shake from rage. The Straw-Hats move even further away. Ace, however, looks amused. He knew it was Nyx. How could he not? Nyx's aura was just...that deadly and powerful, Ace had a hard time even thinking that could possibly be Saki of all people. Of course, Saki was capable of emitting such a dangerous aura (especially when Ace tries to steal her ramen), but over lost supplies? Only Nyx would care about that. Saki couldn't give two shits.

"Luffy!" Sanji grabs the rubber boy by the collar. "Saying you were tricked won't cut it! That was three days worth of supplies! Stolen by a bunch of freaking birds...Now we're stuck out here in the middle of the desert of all places and we have no supplies?! How are we supposed to cross the desert without food or water?!"

"There's no point getting mad at me. I was tricked." Luffy pouts.

"So you're dumber than a bird?" the cook growls.

"What'd you say?!" Luffy bumps his forehead into Sanji's, ready to fight.

'I agree with the cook,' Nyx seethes. 'Let me out, I wanna kill this rubber moron.'

Saki pales at the thought of letting Nyx swap with her when she's this angry. 'No way. You'd kill him.'

'That's what I said I'd do!'

"Will you guys quit it?!" Zoro snarls.

"Don't bother trying to stop them." Ace places a hand on the swordsman's shoulder as the captain and cook start rolling around the sand, exchanging insults. "Instead, just let them finish on their own."

"You're right," Zoro sighs, throwing his hood back, letting the soft breeze weave through his hair. He plops down onto one of the rocks lazily. "Let's rest for a bit. We're just getting worked up because of the heat."

The sound of a loud swallow draws Saki's attention. She blinks at the group of birds over Zoro sipping their water and munching on their food. Luffy's and Sanji mouths fall open in outrage at the smug looks the herons were giving them.
