Soon, I turned back around and walked to my front door.
MOM:
"Love you, dear."
DAD:
"Love you, Y/N." He lightly smiled with a slight wave.
Hearing my father call me Y/N instead of my childhood nickname, made me freeze again. I jerked my head around to meet his eyes.
Y/N:
"Not Y/N...monkey..." I sadly smiled at him.
My dad's eyes slowly widened as he smiled wider with a nod. I noticed some tears forming in his eyes.
DAD:
"Love you, monkey..." He sadly smiled back.
Y/N:
"I love you too..."
All of us smiled at each other one last time, then I left, shutting the door behind me.
I jogged to the yellow bus in front of my house and shortly hopped on.
•••••
Eventually, the bus dropped me and other students off at the front of the school. Once I hopped off, I made my way to Chemistry class.
-CLAY's POV-
Y/N wasn't at school for a week. I ended up making a group chat for me, George, Nick, and even Wilbur. The 4 of us have kept in touch this past week and have hung out together a few times.
We also made a group chat with Y/N's father. He's updated us everyday on how she's doing and what she's been up to.
Once I heard she was going to therapy, I was honestly glad because with all the stuff that happened with Mr. Jay and other things, I knew she would benefit from talking to a professional about it.
As for me and my friends, the first few days were hard with no contact from her. But, we got through it together and picked each other up. Wilbur was a lot of help, actually.
We didn't know when Y/N would talk to us next, but all we knew was, we didn't want her to speak to us until she was okay again. But even then, we all feared destroying her again.
So, whenever she comes to us, we'll be ready, but until then, we all vowed to continue the silent treatment, no matter how much it hurt.
We all also vowed to always come to each other if we had personal problems and needed someone to talk to, instead of putting it all on Y/N.
After all, Mr. (Y/L/N) was right. Y/N was our friend and always has been. It was time we started seeing her that way, other than a prize to be won. And as much as I hated to admit it, I felt like Y/N would choose someone else and not me.
When me, my friends and Wilbur all got together, we spoke about her and everything she's done with each of us. George and Wilbur didn't look at each other, nor talked to each other at all, throughout our little meetings. But the fact that George didn't complain when I invited Wilbur, said a lot.
Y/N was right, and it was now that I was realizing it, it was now that I was realizing a lot of things. Y/N told us before that there was more to life than a girl. But, it goes both ways. There's more to life than boys too, and I think Y/N's been realizing that too.
I just hoped that whatever decisions she's made and the decisions that she will make, will make her happy because that's all we've ever wanted for her, was to be happy.
-Y/N's POV-
I finally made it to Chemistry class with enough courage to face Clay. When I made it inside, he was looking a little better. He was wearing a green hoodie and this time, the hood wasn't over his head. But I was kind of disappointed about that, considering the fact that all boys look hotter with hoods over their heads, in their fluffy hair.
