(The night of Friday, 2023 April 8)

I had been in this universe for days, getting accustomed to the people, lifestyle, and world structure. People lived in stone or wooden houses with thatched roofs, and I was living with a family of a mother and daughters. I can't remember where we were trying to go when we wandered into this hallway . . .

The entrance was simply the beginning of a hallway, with no door necessary to enter. Though it was midday outside, no natural light flooded in, making the hallway dark as there were only a few dim fluorescent lights on the ceiling, which was about twenty-five feet off the ground. The hallway stretched about the length of an American football field before sharply turning right. The two young girls from my host family walked in confidently, so I assumed it would be safe. I was unfortunately wrong.

As we were about halfway down the hallway, I turned around to see Mr. Mime standing only a few feet from the entrance of the hallway. The thing that was unsettling was that Mr. Mime was in his minimized, pixelated form, as though he were on a Game Boy or Nintendo DS, which doesn't make sense in this three dimensional plane. Regardless of the fact that I couldn't make out any details or expressions from the pixels, I could sense something evil about this Pokémon and sped up to keep as far away from it as possible. Though I never saw the pixelated Mr. Mime move, it had gotten closer to me every time I looked back, despite my increasing movement speed. The girls had kept ahead of me, and by the time I had followed them around the corner, they had disappeared behind a wooden door at the end of the hallway.

I raced down the hallway to get to them because I was afraid of this unfamiliar situation, and as I looked back on the way to the door, Mr. Mime was only a few feet away from me. In order to escape him, I used my flying ability to shoot up to the ceiling, out of Mr. Mime's reach. I couldn't reach the door without running into Mr. Mime, so I flew back down the hallway and turned left to exit where there would be no need to lower myself. As I reached about fifteen feet from the exit, I felt like I had to stop. It was as though there was some energy barrier the kept me in. The space was haunted in a mind controlling way, where I could not reason with myself to leave. I was trapped. I turned to see where Mr. Mime was, and this was my biggest mistake.

Mr. Mime was now about four feet tall and three dimensional, allowing him to interact with the space in a way he wasn't able to before. I saw his dark figure using it's gloves like suction cups and prowling up the wall swiftly. I have never been able to successfully scream in dreams up until this point. I screamed from the top of my vocal chords, reaching a note that is impossible for me in real life. The girls heard me and came running from a lit end of the hallway that had appeared while I wasn't looking and watched in horror as Mr. Mime pursued me. I could tell that this was a situation I didn't want to experience and began waking myself up, escaping just before he could reach me. At that point, I could see his face. His eyes were like black obsidian, glazed over in excitement for a kill His mouth had opened into a frightening smile as he realized he was going to be able to get me. His teeth were clustered but straight, and they were razor sharp. I don't want to imagine what he would have done with those if he had gotten me.

As I was waking up, I was still dream screaming and could hear the quiet, airy wail of trying to scream in a pitch that simply isn't possible to me. My dog had realized I was having a nightmare and was nudging me to wake me up. When I lifted my head to look at her, she happily gave me her disgusting kisses to show that she loved me and was there for me. I felt better.
