Under the stars - Part 16

Start from the beginning

"I don't think i could forget it if i tried"

"Really?"

"Really."

"Me neither"

"Really?"

"Really"

"So we can't forget it if we try, that means we aren't meant to forget it. It's a sign"

"Don't start talking like that, you sound like Trelawny"

We both laughed. Was it really okay after the kiss? Was everything okay?

We continued to talk normally throughout the afternoon, forgetting why we were even there. The sky began to fade into darkness as the stars slowly came into sight. The moon rose right above the shrieking shack creating a perfect night view for us to watch.

"It's beautiful isn't it" Hermione said as she gazed up at the sky, the stars were twinkling in the reflection on her eye.

"To some..." i responded not taking my eyes off her

"To some? What could be more beautiful than the sky? Think about it. Stars, sunsets, sunrises, rainbows. What beats that?" She asked me, turning her head to look at me and accidentally locking eyes with me

"Some things in the world are much more beautiful that all those things to certain people" i said without thinking, however upon reflection it seems smooth enough to get away with.
She blushed. No words, just blushed.

I watched her gaze at the sky for an hour, reminding me of everything you can learn in astronomy at Hogwarts. Telling me about every constellation she could remember, telling me all about what they represented and how to identify them. What she didn't know, i was pretty good at astronomy.

Then i noticed her shiver, i hadn't realise how late and cold it had become. I quickly took off my Jacket wrapping it round her. It completely engulfed her.
"You know i could have gotten my own jacket" she said quietly

"Muggle ways i guess, sometimes it's just better" i said to her with a small smirk. She laughed quietly at my statement before yawning. "Are you tired?"  I asked her, She nodded. "Lets get you home then" i said standing up and extending a hand to help her to her feet. She reached out for my hand and took it. I carefully helped her stand, and began to lead her back down the paths.

She followed me without question, barely saying a word only small yawns. When we arrived back at the main Hogsmeade town i asked her,
"How are you getting home?"

She thought for a moment before saying "i'd either apperate home or apperate to my car and drive home, easy peasy" she said with a dizzy smile.

"No no no, both of those activities are dangerous when tired. You aren't doing that" i said pulling out my phone and checking the time.
19:23

"I'll be fine Draco, really. I'll get home and you'll be kicking yourself over how silly you're being" she said as she began to slowly walk away

"No no no no, i'm not taking that chance. No way at all. You're stuck with me Granger" i said putting my arm round her back and guiding her in the direction i came from.

"Draco, seriously?" She asked looking up at me as we walked

"Yes. You let me know where you live, i try and get you there. If not, you stay at the manor over night" i said shrugging

She stopped. Her feet buried themselves into the ground it seemed.
"I stay at the manor?" She repeated. I nodded. I knew what she was thinking, but i wasn't thinking what she thought i was. I simply wanted to make sure nothing happened to her and during winter, driving when tired. No way am i getting a phone call tomorrow from Potter to tell me Hermione died in a crash. I'm not taking that chance.
"Malfoy, what are you playing at?" She said, her arms folding as she looked up at me.
