When the last person on Earth knew
On July 13th, 3655, that her end was near,
She looked around her one last time:
The brown, dusty, hopeless land,
The corpses of man and animal,
The deathly rage of the sky and the sea.
She thought once more, about how
humans had paid the penalty of
Their atrocities on nature
By giving up on humanity itself.
