✦ The Adventurer's Guild System ✦
The Adventurer's Guild was a massive, continent-spanning organization that operated across kingdoms and territories. It served as a neutral agency, offering registered adventurers access to a wide range of quests, monetary rewards, monster hunting licenses, and dungeon expeditions.
Each registered adventurer received a rank ranging from G to S, representing their skill level, reliability, and accomplishments. The ranks followed this hierarchy:
G → F → E → D → C → B → A → S
G-rank was considered the training phase. Most applicants washed out during this stage. Promotion required not only completing quests but also the accumulation of points, with 100 points required to rise from G to F. Since most G-rank requests only awarded 1 to 3 points, it often took weeks, if not months, to rise above the bottom tier.
Quests could only be accepted up to one rank above the adventurer's current rank. Trying to accept a higher-level quest would result in instant denial by the magical registration system.
To ensure active membership, adventurers were required to complete quests within a set period:
G-rank: Must complete at least one quest within 1 month, F & E-rank: Every 3 months, D, C, & B-rank: Every 6 months, A & S-rank: Once per year
Failure to meet this requirement led to automatic removal from the guild registry. Re-registration was allowed but required starting again from G-rank.
There were also strict laws under the guild charter:
Murder, theft, and robbery resulted in immediate expulsion. Private fights between adventurers were prohibited within guild grounds. The guild holds no responsibility for the personal deeds, injuries, or deaths of adventurers on quests.
Registration Requirements:
Fill out a basic information form (name, age, weapon, familiar, skills—optional if unknown) Pay a fee of 5 silver coins Place a drop of blood on the card for identity binding
Adventurers were given color-coded identification cards based on their rank:
Bronze Card: G-Rank
Silver Card: F to B-Rank
Gold Card: A and S-Rank
Although promotions normally followed strict guidelines, Guildmasters were granted the rare authority to promote an individual directly to C-Rank—a power seldom used.
Guild Lady: "Now then, young lady, write down what you can on this form. You can leave anything blank if you're unsure. Afterward, drip a drop of blood on the card to bind it to your mana signature. Then place your hand on the orb to check for curses or magical anomalies."
Renata took the form and pen, scribbled quickly and neatly, then bit her thumb gently and let a drop of blood fall onto the bronze card. It glowed faintly, the magic activating.
She then placed her hand atop the crystal orb. A soft blue light shimmered through the glass before fading. No curses. No red flags.
Guild Lady: "All clear!"
She picked up the now-glowing card and slid it across the counter with a smile.
Guild Lady: "Congratulations, Adventurer Renata! You are now officially a G-Rank Adventurer!"
Renata: "Yay!"
Her smile was subdued, but there was a fire in her eyes.
Claude: "Well done, young miss."
