𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐝𝐢 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 never one to have fun summers. If she had to describe them with one word it would be repetitive. For her, this time of the year meant staying cooped up inside your room, going to sleep late but then also excessively sleeping to past the time.
This summer though, that would be different. Melodi had been sent to Hawkins, Indiana to stay with her grandparents during the summer. Her family had planned to visit from their home in Wisconsin but that hadn't gone as planned due to certain complications, so it was decided Melodi would arrive alone.
By the courtesy of her older cousin, she was assigned a job that took place in his old, isolated record shop that he couldn't give less of a shit about. What a fun way to start one's summer.
