Third Person Pov
The High schoolers have gone to class.
Hinata sat on the wooden floor, in front of the net. Kageyama approaches him and sat beside him.
The Gym was empty and quiet.
"That was fun," Kageyama says gently
Hinata looks at Kageyama who's looking down at the water bottle
"Yeah it was, I miss it"
A moment passes
"Hey Kageyama"
Kageyama's gaze turns to Hinata with his blueberry eyes
"Have you ever had a feeling, when you are with someone, and you get so happy when you look at them? His Cupids bow lips rise from the side
"Oh! I think I'm going crazy. Forget what I said!"
Kageyama paused "I have"
Hinata's eyes soften
"Every time I'm with them, I keep taking small glances at them. I always get a weird feeling in my stomach and I'm always proud of them" Kageyama smiles
"What is that feeling?" Hinata questions
Kageyama stares into Hinata's eyes
"It's love..."
"Love?" Hinata repeats 'Love...'
"You're probably in love"
Hinata faces the net again and sighs
'So I do have feelings for Kageyama. But he already has someone he loves
"What would you know about love"
"I've been in love before."
Hinata starts to rub his fingers back and forwards "You didn't tell me about her"
Kageyama turns away
"I couldn't tell you"
"Why?"
"I was nervous"
"Nervous? About telling me your crush?"
"It's more complicated than that"
"Who was it?"
Kageyama doesn't answer back
"Was it Yachi?" Hinata questions
"Someone in your class?"
Still no answer
"Someone in a different year?"
"Hinata" Kageyama finally speaks. He takes a deep breath. He looked irritated
"It was you"
The room went silent
"I'm in love with you, you idiot"
Hinata kept blinking. He didn't know if this was real or a dream.
Kageyama looked pale, very scared, but a little hopeful.
Kageyama places his hand on the floor as he was slowly lifting himself to get up.
Hinata stops him by grabbing his arm
They make eye contact
"What if I say... I like you too?"
Kageyama had a serious face on, but you could tell that it was slightly softened. "I don't know"
Hinata reaches for the back of Kageyama's head and pulls him closer. Their lips fall on top of each other.
Kageyama froze for a second, he needed time to function with what was going on.
Their lips part ways
"What is it? Hinata asks
Hands around Hinata's waist, Kageyama pulls him in closer. He brings their lips back again. Warm, soft, and comforting.
Goosebumps swarm all over Hinata's body
They both turn scarlet
They break apart again trying to catch their breath.
"You're an idiot, you know that?" Kageyama whispers
"And why is that?" Hinata replies
Both of them still holding onto each other
"Because you are"
Hinata laughs and looks back at Kageyama "I like you. A lot."
Tobio opens his mouth to reply back, but they hear footsteps approaching
The two of them stand up in a straight manner and act like they were doing nothing
"You two! Why are you still here? The other teachers are going to kill me" says Takeda
Hinata laughs nervously "Oh we were about to go! We just you know, just felt like staying a bit longer?"
"You dumbass" Kageyama Mutters to Hinata
"Both of you out. Come back after school if you want to carry on playing"
"We're going home today, so we probably won't be here after" Kageyama replies as he picks up his bottle
"Oh, why not stay longer?" Takeda asks
"School" Hinata answers
"Ahh! Right remember to visit again, it was nice having you four here today. It felt like the old times. Next time bring the whole team, it would be really nice"
