Standing at the top, unshaken,
where the mountain almost caresses the sky,
I admire the mist,
enveloping me in a warm embrace trying to keep me sane.
Through my glistening eyes,
I peek above to find the curve
glittering with a million tiny stars,
which, with my every blink keep on changing its size.
A storm of thoughts try to invade my mind.
The wave however, not strong enough
to drown me entirely in kind.
The blissful darkness takes me over from both sides.
Dew drops glistening under the moonlight,
forming a halo of flickering light,
over the distant tides.
The leaves and the trees stand tall together,
mocking my persistent loneliness.
I wait for the universe
to dispel me into nothingness.
But maybe,
it is helpless too,
searching for the purpose of my existence.____________________
