THE SUMMER BEFORE JUNIOR YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL, Maddy Perez went to visit her grandmother in New York. Maddy wasn't happy. Sure, she loved her grandmother, Pricilla, and New York was fun, but she would be alone all summer with just her grandmother. No friends at all.
That was until Maddy meets Saige Jackson. A wild girl who loves to go out at night, and can practically smell where the party is. Meeting Saige and her friends was the best thing that happened to Maddy all summer, so when she had to leave to get back to California, Maddy was devastated.
