"You should ask her about her brother." Skara says.
"No! That's so awkward." You blush.
"I think you should, Y/n, he's a better match than your arranged cocky Goldie boy." Viney says.
"I know that. I don't want anything to do with him. I don't care what my mom or the emperor says they can't make me." You say.
"Your mom? I don't think she can make you. The emperor though? Uhhhhh..." Jerbo says.
"Yeah. Well... why can't they understand I simply don't want to?" You say.
"Society." Jerbo says in a joker voice.
"Okay Jerbo that's enough." Skara smiles.
"Seriously though, Cedar is way better than that Goldie prick. I've only seen him once in his guard training, but he always acts better than all the other trainees, how do you deal with him?" Viney says.
"I cant. He's annoying, I literally can't deal with him, being at school is better than being with him." You say.
"You have dinner with him tonight right?" Skara asks.
"Yeahhhh." You frown.
"Good luck." Viney sighs placing a hand on your back.
"Thanks." You laugh.
"Okay ya know what though?" Viney says.
"I am not letting you go home until you talk to Willow about Cedar, or you speak a word to Cedar today." Viney says.
"What!? Viney noooo..." you sigh.
"Come on, it's so simple, just say to Willow: "what's your relationship like with your brother?" And she'll probably tell you. Or go up the Cedar, and say hi, not with a nod or a wave, with your voice." Viney says.
"Hggghhh..." you groan.
"You got this!" Viney says.
Math came up. And of course Willow sit nexts to you. Willow was wicked smart, she always offered to help people with problems.
"And then you carry the x over to the 3." Willow mumbles to you.
You nod as she instructs.
"There you have it!" Willow beams.
"I think you got this what do you think?" Willow smiles.
"I think I get it now, thank you Willow." You smile.
"Yeah of course!" She says kindly, finishing up her work as well.
You hold your hands together awkwardly.
"Hey Willow?" You ask.
"Yeah?" She says.
"How have you been..?" You ask.
"Oh I've been fine, great." Willow smiles.
"That's good, um.. family okay?" You ask.
"Yeah of course! Why are you asking?" She says.
"I dunno I thought um... I feel no one checks up on you like much, they ask you for questions, regarding school, but so they ever ask you how you actually are?" You say.
Willow stares at you and holds her hands together.
She blushes a little.
"I appreciate it! That's... actually really sweet of you to say. In all honesty, schools been a little tough. Friends have been a little tough... um.. and my brother has been super busy lately."
