And she was here! Finally!

Twelve was really impatient lately.

She wanted to see the new one, the new block.

Her new soon-to-be friend.

It was as if everyone had seen her but twelve.

It was a bit frustrating actually.

She decided she could not wait a moment longer.

Actually, wait, she could.

She walked towards thir- ten and three.
Twelve figured she could wait a bit, to just ask a few people what this new block was like, maybe figure out the best way to approach this potential friend.

She walked towards the unlucky, who was sitting on a little rock, apparently talking to a little moth he'd found.

He flinched a bit at the sight of another block, but smiled at her anyway.

"Hello twelve!" He exclaimed, waving at her with his usual contagious excitement.

"Hello!"

..

"Thirteen, could i ask you something?"

Twelve watched as her companion split and rejoined again, laughing.

"You said it!! Dont say it!!" He said in between his giggles.

"But sure, whats wrong?"

"Could you tell me a bit about the new block?

Fifteen, i think. Is that her name?
Could you tell me about her?"

"Oh, okay!!"

Thirteen sounded enthusiastic at first, but then looked a bit glum.

"I..dont really know much about her.

Shes a bit scary.
She pops up out of nowhere a lot.

I haven't really talked to her, you know?
I mean, she just got here."

Although thirteen didnt do much, Twelve thanked him for his help anyway.

Asking around didn't help either.

Everyone had the same responses.

Fifteen was, quote unquote, cold. Strange. New. Unexplored emotionally.

No one had approached her.

Not yet, anyway.

There's a slight mumbling noise near those bushes.
It doesn't really sound like an animal. It's more of a.. voice.
Two voices.

And if she moved a bit, she could see who was talking.

Fifteen shuffled a bit to the left of the rock she was sitting on.

Though eavesdropping isnt very nice, it was the best entertainment she had at the moment anyway.

She was sort of lonely ever since she figured herself out.

She craned her, neck? A bit, to see what was happening exactly.

There were two. Two people there.

They were talking about.. talking? To who?

She couldn't hear very well.

The shorter one said something, and the taller one slightly glowed.

The latter giggled.

And the taller one bid her companion good luck, as they watched their friend leave their side.

Where were they going?

She was..????

Coming. Nearer. To fifteen.

Fifteen felt a slight sense of panic, but managed to hide it just as the stranger entered the bit of forest she was sitting in.

"Hello! You must be fifteen."

Fifteen herself looked at the person. They seemed just a few blocks less than she was, with two orange ones in the middle.

She had already met two, so she assumed the last digit of this stranger had to be two, the way hers was five.

She looked at the numberling on top of their head.

12.

The stranger extended her hand, and fifteen looked at it.

"Im twelve. Friends?"

And how could she be so friendly? She hadn't even met fifteen yet!
What a funny stranger she was.

Fifteen took her hand.

"Alright."

Not a stranger anymore, then.
