I look outside my window and I can see the drops of rain fall down.
I watch those drops slowly falling down combining into one.
I watch the raindrops race down.
I listen to the pitter-patter of the rain.
I can hear them falling from the leaves of the bush outside.
Drip drop
Drip drop
The sound echoes in my head as I lay down.
The thunder is loud and I can feel my body shake.
The rain and the thunder become louder.
I try to focus but it's too loud.
Normally I would think the rain is calming but tonight it's different.
This time I'm the reason for the storm.
The rain is coming from my eyes.
The thunder is my heavy breathing.
The thunder stops.
And I stop breathing.
The rain starts to settle.
The tears start to stop.
There is one last piece of thunder.
I gasp for air.
The storm stops.
I am ok
and just like always there is a rainbow after the storm.
I start to feel better.
Sometimes a storm needs to happen to see a rainbow
and sometimes you need to cry to feel better.
