He's in trouble

Mike's POV
PE
"Hey Mike!" Will calls out "Hey Will" I say back excitedly. I look up and I notice Will has a purple bruise on his eye, a bad one. I don't even notice but I find myself staring at it. Will notices that I'm staring "what" Will asks "what happened?" I asked "it's nothing, I don't even wanna talk about it". I know Will has problems with his dad, but I also know that his dad is an abusive alcoholic. He's my first suspect. Why would he do that? I wonder to myself.
Will's POV
I want to tell Mike where I got this nasty bruise but I feel like it will just scare him ever since Jonathan moved to the college dorms, and my mom works late. I've been stuck with my dad, Larry. I can't deal with Larry. He's always upset with me for some reason. It's always my fault. I try my best to do what he wants but I'm never good enough except when I'm with him like he makes me feel like I'm enough. I feel free when I'm with him, free from all my problems. "Wanna go to my house after school? My dad won't be there" I ask Mike takes some time of consideration and finally says yes.
Lunch
Will's POV
Mike sits next to me as I write in my notebook "what's up" Mike asks me "just drawing" I say as I close my notebook and put it in the green messenger bag
Max's pov
I see Will and Mike sitting together. I decide to walk over to them and sit at their table. I listen to their conversation. " You guys talk about the most boring things oh my god " I say. Mike rolls his eyes and says "do something about it then" Will laughs and smiles. I notice Mike smiles back at Will. I think Mike likes Will.
