The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air as Aera expertly crafted the perfect cappuccino behind the counter of the bustling coffee shop. It had been years since she had left her beloved Bangchan, but life had taken unexpected turns since then. She often found herself lost in her thoughts, reminiscing about the precious moments they had shared.

One sunny morning, as Aera wiped the steam off the countertop, she noticed a familiar figure entering the coffee shop. Her heart skipped a beat when she realized it was Chan. He had aged gracefully, but his warm smile remained as enchanting as ever. A mixture of excitement and apprehension washed over her as she prepared to serve him.

"Good morning! What can I get for you today?" Aera greeted Chan with a cheerful smile, trying to mask her nerves.

He returned the smile, his eyes sparkling with a mixture of surprise and delight. "Aera, is that you? I can't believe it! How long has it been?"

"Three long years," Aera replied softly, her voice filled with a mix of nostalgia and longing. "Life took me on an unexpected journey, but I'm glad to see you again."

"Me too," Chan confessed, his voice carrying a hint of vulnerability. "I've missed you, Aera. Can we talk? Maybe catch up on everything we've missed?"

Aera nodded, her heart pounding with anticipation. "Of course, Chan. I have some free time after my shift. We can sit over there," she pointed to a cozy corner of the café.

They settled into the plush chairs, a sense of familiarity washing over them as they exchanged stories and recounted the memories they had left behind. Aera learned about Chan's endeavors since she left, the challenges he faced, and the personal growth he had experienced.

Eventually, the conversation shifted to the two precious souls that had connected them in the past. "How are Jaehyun and Aerum?" Aera asked, her eyes filled with warmth and curiosity.

Chan's face softened as he spoke of the children. "They're doing well, Aera. Jaehyun has grown into a remarkable young boy. He's curious and passionate about music, just like me surprisingly . And Aerum... she's become a kind-hearted and creative little girl. They often ask about you, wondering when they'll see their beloved nanny again."

Tears welled up in Aera's eyes as she realized how much she had missed being a part of their lives. "I've missed them too. I think of them every day. Could I... Could I visit them sometime?"

Chan's face lit up with hope. "That would mean the world to them, Aera. They've never stopped asking about you. You were an integral part of their lives, and I believe they would be overjoyed to see you again."

Chan paused for a moment, his eyes filled with genuine concern. "Aera, how has life been for you here in Korea after you left? I hope it has treated you well."

Aera took a deep breath, her voice tinged with a mixture of reflection and gratitude. "It hasn't been easy, Chan. I faced many challenges and had to make some tough decisions along the way. But I've grown stronger because of it. I pursued my passion for coffee and opened this café. It's become a place where people come to find solace and warmth. And every day, as I serve coffee to others, I remember the joy it brought to us when we shared those moments together."

Chan's eyes shimmered with pride as he listened to her. "Aera, I always knew you had an incredible spirit. Opening this café and finding your purpose in serving others—it's truly remarkable."

Aera smiled gratefully, appreciating his kind words. "Thank you, Chan. It hasn't been easy, but I've found fulfillment in bringing a little bit of happiness to people's lives through the art of coffee-making. And now, reconnecting with you and the children—it feels like a beautiful chapter of my life is coming full circle."

As the day drew to a close, Aera and Chan exchanged contact information, promising to arrange a visit soon. They parted ways, knowing that their connection had stood the test of time and distance. Aera's heart swelled with hope and anticipation as she closed the café, her mind filled with thoughts of reuniting with Jaehyun and Aerum.
