Sooooo, I've been sketching like crazy in my sketchbooks, but I haven't done any actual art pieces.
Well, I literally obsessed over this for THREE days.
It was originally based off of a concept I had sketched up when I was a senior in highschool so like four years ago. I just randomly was going through my old art to find inspiration and found it. I said screw it and went with it.
I can say in pretty happy with it. I would've liked to added more emotion to the person's face, but that was an afterthought. Literally about halfway through making it I had that idea pop up into my head. Oh well. Maybe I'll give it a go in a few months.....or years.
Now, I originally was going to do shredding, but she's not shedding her skin but melting like candle wax. For me now, my idea was to show someone either getting out of their comfort zone or getting rid of their old persona. Both of those results in said person being able to change or going to change.
I don't have a very good title for this piece. So we'll just leave it with the title "Melting."
I used Prismacolor Colored Pencil for a lot of the heavy duty, but for the big blank areas I did use about 12-14 different colors of Ohuhu markers. As well, I used Faber Castell Fineliners for details such as the zentangles.
I believe it is on a 12 by 16 piece on Canson Multi-Media paper. (Yes, it's not a super small drawing like usual. I did break out of that.)
This like super kicked me into an "artsy" overdrive. I'm hoping to make more soon. Then, about a day later, I did this really good sketch.
She gives me like Wednesday vibes...

My Art Book #2
RandomWelcome! As you can see this is #2 so I hope the art is better than the first. I am kind of using this as a mark off point for my old years. I will progress but it may be slow. This artbook should be better than the first half of my artbook #1. I...
