Start from the beginning

All their friends were there,
the brightest smiles on their faces
as they sang happy birthday for
Minho and the ravenette could
only smile shyly with burning
ears as he squeezed his husband's
hand to calm his excitement.

"Thank you all so much, guys!
I hope I didn't keep you all waiting
for too long. I really tried to hurry,
I promise"

The ravenette chuckled as he
sat down on the big armchair,
pulling Jisung with him and on
his lap in the process.

"Yeah yeah, you sure did.
But now it's time for the cake,
we're starving!"

Of course the first thing Felix
would think of was the cake,
he had a sweet tooth after all.

"Lix, calm down.
It's not like you didn't have
lunch just an hour ago, hm?"

Changbin chuckled and placed
a soft kiss on his boyfriend's
freckled cheek.

"There's always space for cake
in my tummy."

The cake was gone in a matter
of minutes and Jisung was actually
glad about it, he didn't want to have
to eat cake for the next three days
only so it wouldn't go bad.

Also he had ordered a lot of sushi
for the whole little party, they really
needed to finish everything today.

"So Minho…
How does it feel to be thirty?
Do you feel more wise now
that you're.. Old?"

Hyunjin should have known the
ravenette long enough to know
that this comment earned him
a smack on the back of his head.

But when he heard a devilish
laugh beside him, he couldn't help
but blush softly at the sight
of a laughing Seungmin.

He had met the boy with red bangs
on Jisung's birthday for the first time
and it was safe to say that the puppy
boy immediately caught his heart.

Seungmin on the other hand
was a little overwhelmed with
the attractive tall male liking
him and he had been through
too much to be ready for another
relationship right now.

Hyunjin just didn't know any of that,
he could just try again and again
to get the younger's attention.

"Careful with your words, Hwang.
I could fire you instantly, hm?"

Minho grinned but his personal
assistant only laughed.

"You depend on me and my coffee. too much, Min. We all know that."

"But I feel great, I've never
felt younger actually."

"Sure, love.
Now eat your cake or I will do it."

And the ravenette knew his
husband wasn't joking.

Jisung loved cake more than
anything, a piece of cake and
an iced Americano was how
destiny brought them
together after all.

"By the way, Ji.
Mr Park already gave me
feedback on the song we worked
on, he said it has great potential.
We should meet up next week
again to discuss the next steps"

Chan smiled as he patted
his friend's shoulder.

They both had been working
so hard on the tracks for the
new album and he knew how
much it meant to Jisung to
finally be able to collaborate
with Chan in an official track.

"Oh, really? That's so cool,
I'll have a look at my schedule
so I can give you a date."

"Take your time, I'll always find
a moment for my favorite rapper."

Both hadn't noticed it since they
were too focused on their talk but
Felix couldn't help but coo how
Minho stared at Jisung with
sparkling eyes.

Even after all those years the
two have been together, they were
still so in love with each other.

Sometimes the freckled boy
envied them.

Their relationship seemed
so effortless, so easy.

Both were working hard and
chasing their dreams, earning
tons of money and living the life
everyone could only dream of
but the job conditions that would
normally ruin a relationship just
made them grow even closer.

They never fought,
they respected each other
and each other's boundaries.

To Felix they had a relationship
straight out of a fairy tale.

He knew conflicts were part
of a couple's journey and he loved
his boyfriend more than anything
but sometimes, just sometimes…

..He wanted it easy too.

What he didn't know was that
Jisung and Minho always had a plan.

A baby was not part of it.

It wouldn't be my book if there
wasn't a baby hehe
