Chapter 2: Particle Accelerator

Ronnie: "If there was a loud bang, we would all be in big trouble."

I nodded my head, playing with the sleeves of my shirt. Caitlin walked up and wrapped her arm around Ronnie's arm.

Caitlin: "Take it from the guy who help build it."

Harrison: "Ladies and gentlemen we did it."

We all cheered as Caitlin and Ronnie hugged. Dad grabbed a bottle of wine and opened it. But to our shock and horror, the liquid floated up and then splashed onto the ground. Suddenly the sirens went off. We all looked around shocked and confused.

Cisco: "Was that?"

Ronnie: "The loud bang. Yep."

I looked at Ronnie shocked as dad, Cisco, and Caitlin got on the computers, trying to see what went wrong.

Cisco: "There is an anomaly in the chamber."

Caitlin: "The ring structural integrity is holding."

Harrison: "It started a chain reaction. The system is collapsing, we need to shut it down."

Cisco: "We can't from here. We need to do it manually."

Harrison: "Go!"

Cisco nodded his head and left the Cortex. Dad looked down at me.

Harrison: "Jesse go to the Time Vault."

I looked up at him shocked and shook my head. I didn't want to leave him, he could get hurt!

Jesse: "What dad no!"

Harrison: "Jesse!"

He held my head and made me look at him. I started to tear up. I didn't want to lose him, I already lost my bio father.

Jesse: "I already lost one dad. I don't want to lose you too."

Dad smiled and pulled me into a hug. I wrapped my arms around him, hugging him tightly. He looked down at him.

Harrison: "You won't lose me, Jesse. Go to the Time Vault, you'll be safe there."

I teared up and nodded my head. Dad kissed my forehead, and I left for the Time Vault. I get into the Time Vault. It doesn't have a door, well it does, but it looks like a wall.

Gideon then suddenly appeared. Gideon is my dad's AI, and she's just a face. She's like another parent to me, when dad couldn't be there for me. I can remember times when dad had to stay late at work, and couldn't get a babysitter in time, so Gideon watched me. Or when dad had to leave for something.

Gideon: "Good evening, Jesse."

Jesse: "Good evening to you as well, Gideon. Can you pull up the cameras outside?"

Gideon: "Of course."

She pulls up many cameras outside the room and outside the lab. I see people running away from the building and see people running around the halls. I see Cisco and Caitlin down by the particle accelerator and got worried.

Just then an explosion caused the building to shake, and I curl up into a ball on the floor. I suddenly hear lights shattering. I looked up at the cameras to see the lights in the hallway shattering and exploding. It lead to the room I was in. This got me worried. I get up and am about to head out of the room, when all of the sudden I feel a wave crash into my body, causing me to get thrown into the wall, and everything went black.

(Narrator's POV)

Harrison walked down the hall, careful to not let anyone see him. So he could pretend he was caught in the chaos and got hurt. He walked down a hallway to see all the lights were out. This worried him since this is the hallway of his time vault. He sped walked to his time vault and got inside it. The light didn't turn on and that worried him even more.
