(Jesse's POV)
I stood next to my father as we looked at the crowd, it was finally the moment my father's dream came true. I remember when I was a kid, dad would show me the plans for the Particle Accelerator, going on and on about his dream. That's what I love about my father, he has his moments where he nerds out about these things.
I looked at the crowd to see a man, his name is Barry Allen. Dad told me that he was the one that killed my family, the man in red. Or, well...it's his future self that kills my family. My dad wanted me to know all about him for my protection. He looks so innocent, who would even dream of him being a killer? But that's most people that look innocent, no one can be THAT happy or THAT innocent. I heard cameras clicking and people getting louder. I looked to see dad walking out to the stage. He smiles at everyone and waves. I smile, happy for him. He deserves this, he deserves to be happy.
Harrison: "Thank you. My name is Harrison Wells. Tonight the future beings. The work my team and I will do here will change our understanding of physics. We'll bring about advancements in power, advancements in medicine, and trust me, that future will be here faster than you think."
Everyone cheered, as I grinned and clapped my hands. I am so proud of my father. I then suddenly hear a female yell and looked to see someone running off with a bag. Barry ran after the man and his friend ran after him. Huh, I wonder what happened? As soon as dad finished his speech, he walks back over to me. I grinned at him and he smiled back at me.
Harrison: "So, how did I do?"
Jesse: "You did, dad. Did you NOT see how excited those people got when you made your speech? You give them something they need, hope. This is why you are my favorite when it comes to the workers here at S.T.A.R. Lab."
Dad smiled and wrapped his arm around my shoulder and kissed the top of my head. We entered the Cortex as everyone was running around, getting everything ready. I saw Cisco, got out of dad's grasp, and walked over to him. I hugged him and he hugged me back.
Ronnie: "Tahiti?"
I looked over to see Ronnie and Caitlin talking, and I walked over to them. He and she have been friends since they were kids. They are planning a trip together.
Caitlin: "I know it's a long flight but we could binge-watch Orange Is The New Black."
Ronnie: "O-Okay, but what about Italian pizza and wine, and even more pizza."
Caitlin: "Yes, but Italy doesn't have mai tais and a honeymoon isn't a honeymoon without mai tais."
She bopped his nose as he pressed a kiss to her forehead. I giggled at this, and they spun their heads to look at me.
Jesse: "You know, you two are the cutest friends ever. I'm jealous."
They smiled at me, and Caitlin pulled me into a hug. I hugged her back and walked back over to my father.
Cisco: "Dr. Wells, the accelerator is primed and ready for Particle injection."
I looked at my father as he walks over to me and stood right next to me.
Harrison: "Well, I feel like I should say something profound like one step for man. But all I can think of to say is I feel like I waited for this day for centuries."
He looks down at me and grins. I smile back at him and nodded my head. he places his hand on the computer. The particle accelerator started.
Cisco: "That's it? I thought there would be like a loud bang."
I looked at him confused because if there was a big bang, that wouldn't be a good thing. When dealing with machines like the particle accelerator, you NEVER want to hear a big bang. That NEVER means anything good.
