Glimmer was pacing around in her room. she asked,
"but shouldn't she be--" the princess glitched and grunted,
"back by now? she said she was gonna--" glitch.
"get training to--" glitch.

"fix me! how long is that going to take--" Glimmer ran into chair and it squeaked across floor.

"ow!"

"and what kind of monster puts a chair here?!"

"okay, we're worried, too, Glimmer, but taking it out on the furniture isn't going to help." Bow sat her down on the chair.

"we can't sit here and hope that she comes back eventually. we have to do something!" Glimmer yelled.

"like what?" Mercelyn raised a brow. before anyone could say anything back, they heard knocking at the door. the officer got up and opened the door.

a guard spoke,
"princess? there's, uh, something here to see you."

"don't you mean someone?" Mercelyn asked.

"no. I mean something."

Swift Wind clopped and whined down the hallway.

Bow shouted,
"our horse!"

"I am my own horse. call me..." the pegasus expanded his wings.

"Swift Wind!"

Glimmer and Bow screamed. Bow then squealed,
"our horse can talk!"

"yeah, yeah, I can speak my mind now, pretty crazy-- so, I was thinking--"

"he's a talking hoOoOoOrse!" Glimmer pointed.

"as we've established. now--"

Glimmer grabbed Bow's face and she spoke,
"he has wings!"

"okay, I'll give you a moment to freak out, and then we need to talk." Swift Wind stated.

Glimmer and Bow both gasped for a moment. the horse looked at a very calm Mercelyn.

"aren't you gonna freak out?" Swift Wind asked.

"nah, I've seen way weirder stuff."

Swift Wind blustered,
"--uh, great! I think Adora needs our help. since Adora transformed me, I've been able to feel where she is at all times. it's like instinct. but now I feel a pull, as if I'm being summoned to her side."

Bow touched Swift Wind's wing and gasps ecstatically,
"as part of Adora's herd, I need your help. will you come?" Swift Wind asked the three.

"sure." Mercy shrugged.

Glimmer glitched, then hummed resolutely,
"of course. lead the way."

"but, Glimmer, you're glitching." Bow said.

"this is what got us into this mess. Adora left to save me. now it's time for us to save her. you in?" Glimmer asked.

"always. but...I don't think your mom is going to like us leaving so soon after our last mission."

"she doesn't need to know. we'll sneak out and be back before my mom even realizes we're gone."

Glimmer opened the door to Angella standing there.
Glimmer glitched and shouted,
"mom!"

Angella cleared her throat.

"whaaat are you doing here?" Glimmer tried to play it cool.

"coming to see why my guard was escorting a horse into your room."
