Here is the story of Bonnie and Clyde
Of partners in crime
Of ride till they dies
From shootouts to cookouts
Robberies to runaways
Anything is possible with you by my side
Weather with our gang or by ourselves
From New York to Cali or anywhere else
Places and people never matter as long as we are together
We couldn't give a damn about our bad reputations
No one ever ready for the trouble we stewed
Got the packs on our backs
As we leave a trail of destruction for those lost to find
The law was wrong, but our fight still goes on
Some will call us Robin Hoods, other abominations
To the public, we are heartless and cruel
When really we are vastly misunderstood
The gang of our friends and our family
A misfit gathering indeed
From the cards we were dealt, we were sure to rebel
No place in society for the
On the run for the rest of our lives
Never destined to be free
We may not be able to walk as we should
But we can shoot without a blink of the eye
In history they will say that we wanted this
To kill, torture, and steal
Covering up our passions
To make way for the misery, they project as our ideal
From March to October all to May
The wish to be together forever, crushed to our dismay
We knew where this would end
However, we never thought we would share forty-six or more bullets with our chairs
This was not the first time smoke has surrounded us
Our clothes still smelling of the scent of bittersweet cigs
The ringing of the shots signaling the vultures to rain down on us
Our bodies defenseless to save
We were twenty-three and twenty-five when we died
Just four short years spread between us
Those who killed us will say they did justice
Saved the great South
But to us, oh to us, they burned down two fierce loves, lives, and freedoms
So with this in mind, we hope that next time
You will think of sweet Bonnie and Clyde
