"Mommy! I need help!"

"Coming! Ok, let me see this."

She picks my paper off the table and reads it over.

"Honey, why are you doing division?"

"I don't know. That's just what we're learning."

"I know your school is academically demanding, but, you're in second grade."

"Mommy please just help me."

"Help you with what?"

I look over and see Sandy, Lulu, and Manny in the doorway.

"Sandy!" I yell, running over and jumping into his arms.

"Hi princess. How was your day?"

"It was good! Mommy and I are doing math."

"Is that what you need help with?" Lulu asks.

"Yup."

"Why don't you let us take a look?" Manny suggests.

"Ok! Come to the table."

They walk over to where mommy is still looking at the paper.

"Look at what your sister is learning." She says, handing the paper to Lulu.

"The f- heck? Division? But you're in second grade. We started doing this in third."

"Yeah. Are you sure this is right?" Sandy asks, putting me down on the chair.

"No. It's right. Pinky promise."

"Roman, when did you start division?" Mommy says.

"End of second. My class could handle it or something. But Allie still has a few months left."

"Can you please just help me!?"

"Ok, ok, ok. Let's do this." Lulu sighs.

"How hard can it be?"
