After Bree had told me that Chase had feelings for me too, I didn't really know what to think. Was she being serious or if she was just trying to make me feel better, but either way I knew it was going to be awkward someway or another. That was why I was dreading seeing Chase that day in school, but there was really no avoiding him because we had nearly every class together.

"Hey, Reagan," I heard someone call from behind me in the hallway.

I turned around and to my luck, it was Chase. I could feel the blood rush to my cheeks.

"Hey," I said, trying to sound unaffected by the whole situation, "sorry about last night. My mom was livid when I got home."

"It's ok. I was barely awake when you left anyways, so I don't really remember," Chase said with a shrug.

He didn't seem like anything was different between us, which was a good sign and a bad sign. I was really debating bringing up what Bree had told me. If he did like me, then I had nothing to worry about, but if he didn't...well, then it would suck to be me.

Just then the bell rang though, and I was interrupted from my thoughts.

"We should probably get going," Chase said and I nodded.

I missed my shot, although I probably wouldn't have taken it anyway.

We walked the short distance to our first class of the day and I prepared myself for the boredom it would bring.

...

After school that day, I went home with the Davenport's per usual. This time, it wouldn't just be me and Chase though, so I didn't have to worry about waking up on their couch in a daze.

We walked through the front door and Bree looked at me expectantly. We hadn't talked all day about what she had told me because the boys had been around us every time we were together. I was guessing she wanted to know if there had been any advancements since then. I shot her a glance and pulled her to bathroom once we were indoors.

"So?" Bree asked with a grin.

I rolled my eyes, mostly out of annoyance that I had no news to tell.

"Nothing. I'm starting to really doubt your ability to sniff out crushes, because he's not giving me any indication that he likes me," I said and crossed my arms.

"Oh please. That's just him. He's probably nervous. If you start the conversation, I'm sure it will play out how you want it to," Bree reassured me.

She was probably right. I mean, she was his sister. I smiled to myself and walked out of the bathroom with a newfound confidence. I was determined to find Chase and tell him how I felt, or else I may never get another chance.

"Go get your man!" Bree whisper shouted and ran out after me.

I laughed and shook my head at her.

"When I come back, I might have a boyfriend," I said with a smile.

"Yay! Even if it is my brother," Bree said and fake gagged.

"Shut up," I muttered and ran to go find who I was looking for.
