Another week has arrived. This week will be Audelia's finals. She's more busy and occupied knowing that girl is so oozy when it comes on her studies. She also feeling the pressure being the top one because of people expectations. But her parents always reminds her not to think about it as long as she's doing her best and no matter what, they are very proud of their dear daughter.
"Hello, Aud you're so sipag naman I haven't review yet. Ipe-perfect mo na naman ang exams," Amelia said as she sat down beside Audelia
"I have to, lapit na ng exam. Mahirap na baka bumagsak. I don't want to disappoint my parents," Audelia replied
"Ikaw? Babagsak? Kailan pa? I never heard na bumagsak ka lagi ngang Ikaw ang highest dear sobrang sipag naman kasi," Bea said
"Naku hindi naman. Let's focus na ulit here mamaya na ang chika, " Audelia uttered
"Rest ka rin Aud, h'wag mo masyado pagurin ang sarili mo hmm'kay. This is just a friendly reminder, "Claire said
"Yes ma'am, thank you," Audelia replied
Few days had passed, it's Thursday now and it's their finals now. All the students seems nervous 'cause it's not really that easy being on academic track. A week after, it will be their card viewing and recognition for third quarter's with honors.
"Kindly please Carol assist me here. Distribute this to your classmates. Thank you" Ma'am Glenda ordered
"Sure thing ma'am," Carol replied
"Please get one and pass, thanks," Carol
"Okay, students please read carefully the directions before answering. And yes as it is written, no erasures are allowed so to avoid mistakes leave it blank first and proceed to the next item then balikan na lang. If there's any question lumapit sa akin, okay?" Ma'am Glenda
"Okay Ma'am" students.
"You may start, " Glenda
Everyone are focused on answering. After almost an hour Audelia is already done and just reviewing her papers if there's any blank space.
Fast Forward
The finals ran smoothly after that week. It's a big relief for Audelia. She's again got the highest scores on their subjects and she feels so happy and well that all the struggles and stress she face were all worth it. It's Saturday and today will be the card viewing and recognition of those students that received high grades this quarter.
Flashback (Friday before Saturday)
"Mommy, Daddy tomorrow afternoon will be our card viewing and also our recognition, " Carol informed
"Oh yes honey, we'll come since it's Saturday naman what time ba?, " Irene query
"At two in the afternoon mama, " Carol replied
"Okay noted baby, " Irene & Greggy said in unison
Saturday (Recognition & Card Viewing)
Audelia's at school earlier today to prepare for the short program today. As to her parents they are just going to follow before the program starts. Yet it is almost two Audelia is wondering why her parents are not yet there. She's worried
AUDELIA CAROLINE'S POV:
"Oh God, where's mommy and daddy na kaya it's almost two na. Few minutes it'll be starting na" she said in her mind while calling her parents. She also send messages to her Mom and Dad. Yet she didn't received any reply.
"Aud, where are your parents? Our section will be the next na dear," Ma'am Glenda uttered
"Oh ma'am they are not yet answering my calls pa po. Baka po hahabol po sila," I replied
"Okay, and oh anak you're with highest honor. Last ka na tatawagin may be makahabol pa ang parents mo," Ma'am Glenda said.
"Thank you po ma'am," I replied with a bit smile.
The program is now over. There is no any presence of Carol's parents so it end up, receiving her awards all alone she just been accompanied by one of her teachers.
"Ipapadala ko na lang ang copy of card mo anak. Show it sa parents mo. May be nagka-emergency lang sila today. Smile ka na ha. Proud of you, congratulations anak," Ma'am Glenda said
"Thank you so much ma'am. Baka nga po may emergency lang sila," I said and bid my goodbye to them
I'm on my way home. I am happy about my grades mataas naman. Sad lang ako kasi I thought my parents would come. And ngayon lang nila naalala kung kailan tapos na. Tadtad na ako ng messages and calls ni mommy and daddy. May emergency meeting daw sila today that's why. All I need to do is just to understand them na palagi ko namang ginagawa.
When I arrive at home at four I decided to rest muna. Sobrang nakakapagod at puyat ako 'nung mga nakaraang linggo. Dumagdag pa 'yung sobrang sakit ng ulo at emosyon ko ngayon.
After I showered and changing into jammies na napansin ko na marami akong pasa sa legs ko. Kitang-kita pa ito dahil sa maputi kong kulay. I shrugged this off at sa tingin ko naman malapit na rin ang red days ko kaya may ganito.
IRENE'S POV
Earlier at one o'clock may emergency meeting kami. I have something in my mind na parang may nakalimutan ako pero dahil sa sobrang stress at pagmamadali namin ni Greggy na-miss namin ang recognition ng anak namin.
From: Baby Love
Hi, Mommy are you guys on your way na po here. The program is about to start na po.
Mom, our section will be the next na po.
Well, I guess you couldn't make it. Wherever are you and daddy now. Please take care.
And by the way mom, I'm with highest honor.
"Oh God Greggy! We forgot, it's Caroline's recognition today. She's with highest honor. For goodness sake how could I forget my dear daughter Greg. She's indeed terribly sad because of us. I can feel it!" I uttered
"Oo nga, nakalimutan natin. Sorry to our baby love. Let's make bawi na lang to her. Can you call her? I'm so proud of our baby," Greggy uttered
"No she's not answering my calls. Nagtampo na ang Carol ko. Our baby love is so amazing! Am so proud of her. Sayang hindi tayo naka-attend. I feel so sorry for our daughter Greg," I uttered teary-eye
"Let's go home now. I can't wait any longer I badly want to hug now my baby. Let's go na. We have to suyo pa the princess," I added and we immediately go home.
