"I'm late for my class."I grumbled as I looked down at my phone.
"What class? Professor Amara cancelled classes for the day. She is calling it a Mental Health day."She replied as she pulled me into a hug.
"Really?"I asked.
"Yes. Go outside. Do not sit in your room."She sternly responded making me nod my head as I hugged her tightly before I left her office and went straight to my room.
I sat on my bed and stared at my wrist for a while before I sighed and changed into casual clothes so I could sit in my room for the day.
Being alone was probably the Mental Health Day I needed.
As soon as I sat on my bed I heard a knock on my door making me sigh heavily as I rolled my eyes and walked towards my door, once I opened my door I saw JR smiling right back at me.
"JR I just want to be alone--"
"That will not happen. I will rather we both sit in silence and listen to Visions by Stevie Wonder over and over."he replied as he kissed my forehead and nodded towards my dorm making me step aside so he could walk in making me close the door behind him.
"Really?"I asked as I watched him sit on my bed and pat the spot next to him like I always do with him making me smirk and sit right next to him.
"Anything for you baby."he replied as he gave me a dimpled smile before he kissed my cheek and wrapped his arms around me before laying down on my bed.
"I'm braced up again."I muttered as I held out my arm making him nod his head slowly.
"How does that make you feel?"he asked as he took my braced arm and kissed my knuckles.
"I am so tired of this injury. I wish I had paid attention to it sooner because what if its worse than a sprain? What if its permanent? Doctor Brown says it could have been the stress from yesterday."I explained as I looked up at my wrist that JR was holding up and intertwining my fingers with his before he kissed my knuckles once again.
"Keep going baby girl."he muttered as he looked down at me making me shake my head.
"I'm here."he replied as he looked into my eyes which gave me goosebumps but it made me feel safe.
"Thank you. I just, gymnastics is my life and just suddenly stopping because of an injury frustrates me."I explained as nestled my head into his neck taking in his signature sweet cologne.
"I get that and we can do this together. We will get better in no time but for now let's just take it easy, alright?"he sweetly said making me nod my head as he caressed my hair.
"Have I ever told you that you look great with your afro out like this?"he asked making me giggle as I leaned back to look at him and shake my head.
"No you haven't because you have not seen my hair. Nathaniel isn't around to do my hair and I thought I needed my hair to breathe for a minute but humidity has other ideas."I muttered as I finger coiled some of my coils.
"You look beautiful baby."he stated making me smile hard before I leaned down to kiss him making him deepen the kiss.
"Mmhmm. This always leads to sex."I muttered after I pulled away before I sat up and looked down at him with a small smile.
"That's the best part baby."he teased as he placed his hand on my cheek and made me kiss him once again and give him a couple of pecks before I pulled away.
"Uh-uh. What about my injury?"I asked whilst giggling as I looked down at him.
"Nothing we can't work around."He joked whilst chuckling making me giggle before I slid off my bed and held out my hand.
