Hero basic training

Start from the beginning

"You draw it all by yourself?!", he asked her.

Len nodded, "Yeah! It took years to make it look exactly like I wanted and I'm pretty happy with the result!"

Kirishima was astonished, "Man, that's impressive! So perseverant!"

Lenora thought about the first time she tried to draw her costume, remembering how even Izuku couldn't stop laughing at her sticky figure colored in purple and lilac on the paper. Katsuki called it hideous and she was so offended she started drawing every day to become better. In the end she became good with pencils and painting, but she stopped her artist era at 12, once her costume was finally perfect.

So now she was incredibly proud to wear it. It started with a tight and intricate purple tank top that left almost all her shoulders and her arms naked, a deep V-neck stop right between her chest where one of her most important runes was, while for the bottom she had very large pants with deep cuts at the extremity that started from her hips and arrived at her ankles, where they were sewn together to avoid an unpleasant accident. Of course, she was barefoot, and the only accessories were her rings – hands ones and toes too –, two armbands with runes-shaped holes in them, her numerous earrings and the nose piercings were finally back. Her favorite thing was how the colors started in a deep dark purple and got increasingly clear till they reached lilac.

"I still have no idea what your quirk is, y'know?", Denki admitted, making Len tilt her head.

"I'll leave you Katsuki explained it for me, he's so good at that!"

"Shut your witchy mouth, stupid spell maker!"

"See? So good", Len smiled and Bakugou smacked his open palm on her head, messing up her braids one more time. Denki and Kirishima tried to hide their laughs, scared that Katsuki's rage could verse toward them.

"Shut the fuck up, I'm trying to listen here!"

Len turned her head to All Might who was slightly laughing at Izuku's costume. Len's heart squeezed, noticing how it actually recalled the hero himself.

His mom did such a fantastic job!

"Now, it's time for combat training!", the teacher started but was immediately interrupted by a kid in armor who looked like Iida.

"Sir.," he raised his hand, "this is a battle center from the entrance exam, so will we be conducting urban battles again?"

"No, we're going to move ahead two steps!", All Might rose two fingers, "Most of the time, fighting villains takes place outside, but if you look at the total numbers atrocious villains appear indoors at a higher rate. In this society full of heroes, truly intelligent villains hide in the shadows!"

Len couldn't agree more.

"For this class, you'll be split into villains and heroes and fight two-on-two indoor battles!"

Tsu tilted her head, "Without basic training?"
"This is a real battle to understand those basics! However, the key this time is that there's no robot you can just beat up!"

With that, the questions started.

There were intelligent ones, like: "How will wins and losses be determined?"

Dangerous ones: "Can we beat them up anyway?"

Worried: "Will the punishment be expulsion like with Mr. Aizawa?"

And finally, Len's one, which was running in her head like a little hamster.

"How shall we be split up? We're odd-numbered."

Aoyama showed her his cape, "Isn't this cape crazy?"

Lenora blinked from staring at the glittery cape too much, "It's absolutely amazing, Aoyama."

He made a little bow, "Thanks, ma chèrie!"

All Might seemed on the verge of a breakdown, "I'll answer all your questions!"

He took a little notebook, and starting to explain how the lesson would take place.

Alright, heroes need to touch the bomb, and villains need to keep it safe, got it.

"Teams and opponents will be determined by drawing lots! Three people will form one team and that one will have a little disadvantage", All Might showed them the box that contained the papers with the letters of the different teams on it, "so one of them wouldn't be able to use their quirk. Heroes need to be ready to fight even in situations were using quirks could be dangerous for the civilians around. All clear? Let's start this!"

Everyone started picking paper after paper and when it was finally Lenora's turn she saw a J on it.

"Witch! What's your team?", Katsuki asked her, stomping toward her.

She showed him her paper and he smirked.

"I will crush you!"

Len punched his shoulder hard, "You don't even know if we're opponents and you're already threatening me! Asshole!"

"Hey Lenora!", Kirishima was right behind Bakugou, waving his paper, "Guess we're on the same team!"

She was relieved. Kirishima seemed a pretty cool boy and his hardening quirk could be useful!

"Uhm, I think we're the three people group...", the tape boy walked to them, showing the J on the paper. Lenora and Kirishima grinned like kids.

"So cool!", they exclaimed, making Bakugou leave and Sero smile.

"So one of us won't be able to use his quirks", Kirishima mumbled.

Len tilted her head, pointing a finger at her chest, "Hey, if you want I could be the one without quirk! I'm pretty good at hand-to-hand fighting!"

Kirishima seemed conflicted, "It wouldn't be very manly to let a girl fighting hand-to-hand..."

But Len grinned, "Hey, I'm a hero in train too! Don't underestimate me!"

Kirishima almost broke down in tears, "Damn, you're so cool. Alright, I'll leave you the dirty job!"

The girl raised her hand at Sero, "It's okay for you?"

Sero gave her a high-five, "Sure thing, miss!"

"Alright!", All Might took out two balls with the letters of the team out of a 'villain' and a 'hero''s box, raising them in the air.

The first team was A versus D, with D being the villain. Her face went pale when she realized who were the components of the teams.

All Might sent everyone to the monitor room except for the two teams. Lenora walked slowly so she was the last one passing between Katsuki and Izuku. She stopped, side-eyeing them.

"Can you try not to kill each other?", she whispered, "Please."

"Got it", Izuku's trembled.

"I'm not making fucking promises to you, witch!"

Len sighed, her shoulders plopping down, "At least I tried. Good luck. Izuku kicks his ass for me."

She ran away before Katsuki could grab her, reaching the rest of the class.

Kirishima was waiting for her, smiling.

"Everything's good?"

Len shook her head, "We'll see..."
