"Hey Ryujin," Sunghoon said warmly as he entered the bright white hospital room. He sat down on a chair next to her and put his stuff down next to it.

His sister smiled and took his hand in hers. "Hey little bro. How was school?"

"It was okay. But i have something to tell you..." Sunghoon trailed off not knowing how to start.

Ryujin immediately noticed something was off. She squeezed her brothers hand. "Whats wrong? Did someone bully you?"

"No no!" He said quickly not wanting her to worry. "Just...remember that thing i heard our parents say that i thought was English?" Ryujin nodded.

Sunghoon sighed. "Well i have a...i don't know what to call them. Anyway, remember Jake? I told you about him. He apparently is Australian so he was able to translate it for me."

Ryujins eyes lit up in surprise. "Oh really? From what you say about him i didn't expect him to do that for you."

"We're on better terms," Sunghoon shrugged.

"Anyway what did it translate to?" Ryujin asked curiously.

Sunghoon gulped. Gathering his courage he took a deep breath, looked into his sisters eyes and told her. "They were talking about the T. I. W. D. N. T. D. Apparently they were planning to hurt you so badly so that you wouldn't be able to stand up for us again."

Ryujin gasped. She sat up and gave her brother a hug. "I wish i could say i was surprised. But nope that sounds like them." She sighed.

"No, Ryujin, you don't understand," Sunghoon protested.

Ryujin raised an eyebrow. "Understand what?"

"I overheard them planning to hurt you and i could have stopped it!" Sunghoon cried.

"Hey hey!" Ryujin said trying to calm him down. "You couldn't do anything. We both don't speak English. And even if you knew and told me what good would it do? Even if it could have prevented me sitting in this hospital bed, i would still have protected us. I would protect you even if i ended here or worse."

"But Ryujin-"

"No buts. I did what i should have. We are both free of those monsters," Ryujin smiled softly. "At least my sacrifice wont be in vain."

"Huh?"

Ryujin let out a sad chuckle. "I don't have a lot of time left so im glad you came today."

Sunghoon could barely breath. "W-what are y-you saying?"

Ryujin squeezed her brothers hand and smiled sadly. "Im dying, Sunghoon. I have been since the incident. Just very slowly. The doctors gave me something to try and extend my life but im afraid im reaching my final hours."

"N-no no no no no. Hours?! Y-you mean you could d-die today?" Tears were prickling at the corners of Sunghoons eyes threatening to spill.

Ryujin gave him a weak smile. "Im afraid so."

"H-how will i live without you?"

"You'll manage. I know you will because i know you," Ryujins breathing slowly started to become shallower. "Live a good life for me. Make sure my sacrifice isn't in vain."

Sunghoons tears began to fall. He was surprised he had any tears left to cry. He had shed so many over the years. "I love you sis." He said softly.

His sister chuckled but it turned into a small cough. "I love you too Sunghoon."

Ryujin squeezed his hand once more before the life faded from her eyes. The monitor made that cursed noise signaling her heart had stopped. Her hand slowly slipped from Sunghoons grip.
