Today was the day Sun would get a new co-worker. Sun was currently playing with the kids as usual when Vanessa came through the door of the daycare and called Sun over.

"So, your partner won't be here in time. There was a wreck on the road so they'll be here after the kids leave, okay?" Vanessa always talked in an 'I don't care' tone. She was always tired or at least looked very tired. But Sun didn't mind.

"Thanks for the update, Mis. Nessa!"

She threw a glare at him. "Don't. Call me that."

"Okay.."

 With that, she left. Sun took a breath that he didn't know he was holding and went back to playing with the kids.

After a while, the parents come to pick up their children. One by one, they left out the door. Soon enough it was just Sun. He had to clean up before his new friend came! Grabbing the cleaning supplies from the closet and got to work. Wiping off tables, hanging up the kids' art, mopping and sweeping the floors, and picking up toys. By the end of it, the place looked spotless!

Just in time too! He heard the wooden doors open. Spinning on his heel to face the door with a bright smile. "Hello! Welcome to the- day.. c-care.." Sun tripped his words as he saw his new co-worker.

He stood maybe a foot shorter than Sun. Black hair falls on his shoulders, the ends looking like someone just grabbed a pair of scissors and butchered it. He wore a blue hoodie that was a little too big on him and some gray sweatpants that had a mustard stain on it.. how lovely. Despite his messy appearance, he looked quite charming. His brown eyes and patched skin made up for it.

Vanessa cleared her throat helping Sun snap out of his daze. He did a double-take and realized that he made his new friend uncomfortable.

"Anyway," Vanessa started. "Sun, this is Moon. Moon, this is Sun. You'll be shadowing him for the rest of the month."

Moon looked at me and extended out his hand. "It's nice to meet you, Sun." His voice was deeper than expected making Sun shudder a little.

Sun took his hand and gave him a firm shake. "N- Nice to meet you too! We're going to have so much fun together." Sun could smell cigarettes coming from Moon.

"Well, it looks like my job here is done," Vanessa said with a sigh. "Sun will do your interview for you. I'm going home.." She didn't wait for any response, she just left.

Sun and Moon stood in awkward silence for a few moments. "So!" Sun broke the silence. "Would you like to start the interview?"

"Oh, yeah. We should do that."

Moon followed Sun to a soft place that looked like a giant pillow fort. "This is where you'll mostly be!" Sun announces. "This is the nap time corner. Obviously, that's why you are here."

Moon just nodded with a closed smile.

Sun takes a seat on a pillow and pulls out a black binder and flips to a random page. "Alright.. do you have any experience with child care?"

"I was a babysitter for a few years and I studied for nursing school for kids."

Sun nodded. "Okay, so you know basic medical procedures?"

"Yes."

"Great! That should be it.. you already gave us your measurements for your uniform, that should be ready tomorrow when you get here." Sun closed the binder and raise to his feet.

"Oh, that's it?" Moon looked surprised.

"Mhm! I'll see you tomorrow. Don't be late, moonie!~" Sun sang in a sing song voice.

Sun could see Moon's face heat up at the nickname. 'So cute..~' Was the only thing Sun could think of.

Sun was polite enough to walk Moon out and to his car.

[Moon's POV]:

"What a day.."

Moon walked into his one bedroom apartment and kicked off his shoes. He didn't bother going to his room, he just went to the couch and laid down.

"Meow!"

Moon opened his eyes as he felt weight on his chest. A white cat with blue eyes stared back at him, purring loudly. "Meow!"

He sighs. "Star, please.."

"Meow!"

Moon clicked his tongue and picked up the cat. "You just had food, Star! Your gonna get fat."

"Meow!"

Moon just rolled his eyes and walked over to the cabinets with Star still in his arms. He got some wet food and put it in her bowl. Star immediately went to it and started to eat it.

Moon went back to the couch and went to bed. Hoping that he has a good first day.
