After driving in circles for a very long time, Peat made up his mind to return home. He knocked loudly at his family house. A maid came and opened the door. Peat was looking awful and she was scared. His eyes were a shade of red underneath showing that he was crying profusely. There was dry tears marks on his face and his hair was dishevelled. Peat walked past her dragging his legs on the floor. He looked like a lost puppy. He took heavy steps up the staircase when he arrived at his father's room, he heaved thrice, then knocked on the door, there was no response so he did it again and again. Till his father finally opened. He was taken aback by the sight he saw. His son looked horrible and to make matters worse he was crying as well. His eyes widened as he asked “ what happened? Were you robbed? Why do you look like this”? He touched him spinning him around to see the problem, but there was no physical sign, except a rose in his hand. “ Peat, what's the problem”? His father held him by his shoulders taking him into his room and shutting the door. Peat stood mumbling some words that Mr Pahi did not quite understand, until he said “ Dad, all my love is gone”! Mr Pahi didn't quite  understand and asked “How? Please make me understand, I beg you”?
“ Fort broke up with me, he said it's for the best as he's protecting me? Did I ASK TO BE PROTECTED? Dad, whenever things get tough, he always throws me away, am I that WORTHLESS”?  Mr Pahi was completely thrown off by this, he didn't quite believe what he was hearing as he moved back approaching his bed and thought he was hallucinating everything “ I really hate this dream, so it's best I go back to sleep”.
“Dad, you're not, this is my reality now, I have to live without him. After two years of fighting to be with him, he got tired of everything, I ended up leaving the relationship with a rose. This one in my hand, represents the last day of my love dad. It's really over”. His father replied walking towards his son again holding his shoulder “its not possible son, it can't be, Fort would die for you, I can vouch for this, he would give up his life to see you happy. I was there when he was moping, hoping you would wake up, that kind of man does not just wake up and call it quits, it's not even logical. I don't think you understood him okay, tomorrow just talk things over, kiss it out and move on”. Peat said
“ Dad, he got tired of always giving up his life for me, he got tired of sacrificing for me. Our relationship was a walking hazard to everyone who saw it. Maybe because we were to happy or looked invincible. Now we aren't anymore. I hope the world would be happy now, they've taken my love away from me because they couldn't take my life. Dad, a world without Fort is already a death sentence for me, so I die both ways. I just want to sleep. My heart hurts too much to do anything ”.  Peat's dad held his son and directed him to his room, he laid him down on the bed, covered him with a blanket. He tried to take the rose away from him, but Peat held onto it. His hand was bleeding as it was initially a wrapped rose, but because Peat held onto it so tight, the thorns injured him. He didn't mind at all, and closed his eyes to sleep. When Mr Pahi closed the door, he didn't leave immediately and heard his son whimpering inside, he couldn't go in, he stood at the door, unable to do anything. Peat had never truly been in love, he was one to have flings as he saw the gifts they got him. Fort was his first relationship with a face. The first relationship he was proud of. The first man he truly loved. Mr Pahi knew Fort loved him too, he bowed to him for Peat, he cried to him for Peat. Was it the gifts. He gave him a full apartment building, he bought him a car, and most of all, gave him shares to his company and proposed to him. Was there anything more than that? It was evident something was seemingly wrong. Fort was not someone to give up Peat after everything they had been through together.

Fort drove back home. His head was empty. He got into the house. Everything smelled like Peat. He got to his bed and lay on the other side. This was Peat's side. He sniffed the pillows, getting intoxicated with the smell, it was all Peat. That side of the bed  was Peat exclusive. He felt so foolish, his heart was broken but he could do nothing about it. He sat up and screamed to the air, there was no response back,he did it again and again, he didn't feel better at all, rather he felt stiff. He changed tactics and screamed out his ex lovers name “ PEEEEAAAAAATTTTTT... PPPPPPPPEEEEEEAAAAAAATTTTT”! When he was done, the house became silent again. “ I really let you go didn't I, I can only imagine the pain you're experiencing from your incompetent boyfriend, who had no power to keep you safe, please forgive me my love”.

The next morning, Peat checked his phone and almost sent a “good morning my love” to Fort, then he remembered they had broken up. He had to give himself slaps to fully wake up. He looked around the room and made up his mind, he was ready for work. He had no intention of staying at home and dying of loneliness, the best thing he could do was to overwork himself till he forgot. After  he had greeted his father, he got out his laptop to check the latest updates before he was to leave the house. He saw High Sight Company and ATS were trending at Number one, his name and Fort's were at number two. He clicked on the trends and saw that a picture had been taken with him tossing the ring into the river. He also saw the roses given to him and the headline FORT AND PEAT HAVE BROKEN UP . He saw a lot of comments from different sources. He went back and clicked on the second trending, it was Fort giving a statement “ love doesn't always last forever, hearts change”. He didn't bother waiting for it to finish, Peat shut his laptop immediately and threw it on the floor, to the astonishment of his father and the maids. He apologized and luckily, the device was still fine. He picked it up and got upstairs. He was boiling. He went to his room shut the door, sat on floor, uncontrolled tears streamed down his face. “This is really the end isn't it”?
