WHEN CELESTE HAD woken up she tried to get out of bed but felt arms around her waist, gripping her hips firmly. she looked down to see that darrian's face was now stuffed in the crook of her neck. she smiled at the sight seeing that the sun was shining on his light skin and he looked so pretty in her eyes.

just like the night before she started scratching his curls softly. it wasn't long before darrian started shifting in his sleep, "mhmm." he hummed at the affection his hair was getting.

"morning." he mumbled, his voice filled with rasp. celeste smiled softly at his voice, "good morning." she replied. the pair didn't speak for a good couple of minutes until celeste saw the time on her alexa that read
nine on the dot.

her dad would probably be coming in less than an hour so started shaking darrian gently. "mmcht. stop shakin me leste." he said lowly before yawning. "you gotta get up, ma pops gonna be here soon." she said softly. he groaned at her sentence but started stirring from his position nonetheless.

when he let go of her waist she sat up slowly and turned around to face him. "i'll see you at the carnival?" she said lowly as he nodded in response before lifting from of the bed to stretch his arms out.

"ight, i'll see later leste." he grabbed her hand interlocking then squeezing it softly making her smile. "bye." and with that he left her room. she waited til she heard the front door click to lay her head back in the mushy pillows.

celeste's mind drifted to the boy that was next to her not even five minute ago. she wondered if she was being to clingy and how he thought of her. she hated how natural it felt for him to be so close to her when she never liked people being in her personal space.

though she wished she could thank him for making her slowly crack out of her shell that she had been for so long she couldn't even keep count.
