Gretude's POV

The Royal Palace is way busier than usual because there will be a celebratory banquet for the successful project which is the building of the waterways that solved the severe drought in the land of Dimitri.

Maraming nagkalat na mga palace maids na halos hindi magkanda-ugaga sa pagdidisenyo ng bawat haligi ng lugar kung saan gaganapin ang banquet. Also, His Majesty the Emperor told me that I will be the star of the banquet because I'm one of the reasons why severe drought was solved. Kung hindi raw sa ipinakita kong kakayahan ay maaaring hindi na natugunan ang pangangailangan ng mamamayan sa Dimitri.

I felt proud of myself because I helped those who're in need with the best of my abilities. Na kahit papaano ay may silbi ako sa mundong ito. Little by little, naipapakita ko sa iba na I have worth. That I have the ability to reach out and be capable of helping other people.

Gabi gaganapin ang selebrasyon kaya nagsimula na akong ayusan ng mga personal kong katulong. Simula sa pagligo sa bathtub na puno ng sariwang gatas at mga rosas. Grabe talaga kapag isa kang prinsesa. Bakit naman mag-aabalang magbigay ng regalo ang yelong prinsipeng iyon e mas gusto niyang pamudmuran ng sandamakmak na regalo si Geneva kaysa sa akin?

Nahihibang na ba siya?

Umalis na ang attendant pagkatapos iabot ang gift kuno sa akin ni Prince Conrad. Dinala ng maid sa harap ko yung gift at ipinatong sa lamesita. I opened the big box first and to my surprise, it was a very elegant white ball gown with gold intricate design. It has a touch of diamond beads that twinkles when light strokes on it. In short sobrang ganda. But I was hesitant to try it out kasi galing sa taong kinamumuhian ako. I don't know what he's trying to do by giving me this. I also opened the other two boxes and it was a pair of high heels which partnered the gown and also the accessories.

"Kay ganda, mahal na prinsesa. Sigurado akong babagay ito sa iyong kutis." Ani ni Nanny Belinda.

May mga naririnig rin akong bulungan galing sa ibang katulong.

"Grabe, ang suwerte talaga ng ating mahal na prinsesa. Pinadalhan pa ng regalo ng kaniyang mapapangasawa."

"Nakakainggit!"

"Kay guwapo pa ng prinsipe kaya bagay na bagay sila ng ating mahal na prinsesa!"

As if.

Matapos ang mahaba-habang pilitan na naganap, napapayag na rin ako ng nina Nanny Belinda na suotin ang binigay ng prinsipe.

I am done with the make up and putting the dress and accessories. All of them are in awe while staring at me. Parang kumikislap ang kanilang mga mata habang nakatitig sa mukha ko. That's the time I turn myself to face the mirror and now I understand why their reaction was like that.

There are no words to describe how beautiful I was. I'm not seeing a human. I am seeing a goddess. Grabe ang kagandahang taglay ni Gretude. Parang hindi ko deserve na sa akin mapunta ang ganitong kagandang mukha.

The white dress suits me well and makes me glow more. I look pure and innocent.

"Thank you everyone for the hard work." I thanked all my servants who helped me prepare for the banquet. They all cheered up and wished me luck.

I carefully graced the stairs down. Baka matapilok ako, hindi ako sanay sa mataas na heels. Malapit na ako sa dulo ng hagdan nang may matanaw akong pigura ng isang tao na nag-aabang sa gilid. When I finally reached the last step of the stairs I was stunned at how handsome this person is. White suit with golden linings with his hair brushed back. Wala nang mas g-guwapo sa kaniya.

"Delighted at what you're staring at?" Biglang tanong niya.

Okay, binabawi ko na lahat ng complements na sinabi ko. Still arrogant as he is.

"Greetings to the Crown Prince of Verus Kingdom, Prince Conrad." I greeted him ignoring what he had said.

"Greetings to the first star of the Empire, Princess Gretude." Pagbabalik bati niya.

"It should be the time that we go to the banquet hall. Shall we go?" Tanong niya.

Tumango na lamang ako bilang tugon.

Wait.

Ngayon ko lang napansin.

Magkaparehas kami ng design ng suot!
