Then the photos changed into videos of them on each side.

Shuri couldn't take it anymore and those tears went from her eyes to down her cheeks.

"Aw, I didn't mean to make you cry," Riri wiped her face.

Shuri gripped the locket in her hand, "How?"

"Well Okoye sent the photos and Aneka sent the videos from your kimoyo beads one day when you didn't have them on."

Shuri looked up at her and pulled her down into a tight hug, "Thank you so much."

Riri's family watched the loving moment with big smiles on their faces but Ronnie's was even bigger. She was so proud to see that her daughter, who's head had been stuck in blueprints all her life, had finally found the person she was meant to be with.

Soon they went to the kitchen, ate their food, and everyone went their own way for the rest of the day.

Shuri and Riri were now on the roof just laying and looking at the stars in the sky.

"So this is what an American sunset looks like?"

"Yep."

They sat in silence. This was one of the many things that Shuri loved about them. The fact that they could just be in each other's presence, even in silence.

"Shuri?"

"Yes?"

"Do you regret how we met?" This had been on her mind for a while and it was something she really wanted an answer to.

"Not at all," Riri sat up, not expecting no for answer, "I don't regret it because if I didn't go through all the hurt and grief, neither of us would've gotten to know each other on the level that we have now. We've basically already seen each other at our worst and best."

Riri nodded, "How about the situation with your mom?"

Shuri sighed, "Listen baby, what happened to her was not your fault. She sacrificed herself to save you and whenever my mother did something, it was never a mistake."

Shuri got up then helped Riri up, "Now let's go say goodbye to your family so we can leave."

They walked back down into the house and went into the kitchen.

"Mom, we're gonna head out."

Ronnie walked up to her and gave her a hug, "Have a safe trip, sweetheart."

Gary gave her a hug also, "Safe travels, kiddo."

"Thank you for my beanie, brokie," Riri pushed her playfully.

Shuri also gave out goodbyes and the two walked out. "So.. am I gonna be kept in the castle again?"

Shuri let out a small laugh, "No, I'll take you out to explore this time considering there's no evil merman after us."

They got on the plane and Riri saw that Okoye was on it as well. "Hello Ms. Williams, my Queen," Okoye crossed her arms and bowed.

The two greeted her and sat as the plane took off.

They had been on the plane for about 30 minutes until Riri awoke from her nap, feeling the plane land. Riri looked around and saw that they were outside her new garage.

She quickly shook her head no, "Un uh, y'all remember the last time y'all came to my garage. I don't want this one getting raided either."

"Well I guess you don't want your giftt," Shuri dragged.

And just like that, Riri was dragging her by her arm off the plane and into the building.

"Yooo," Riri gasped and covered her hand. This was not the same lab that she had left 4 days ago. It looked like a mini version of Shuri's lab.

"While you were in Chicago, some other scientists and I were working on this place. I know you were comfortable with everything you had but I wanted to give you some things to make it even better.

Riri held out her arms for a hug and Shuri walked into it.

"You spoil me way too much, you know that," Riri said. Shuri just shrugged, "And what are you gonna do about it?"

"I also got you a new iPad and Apple Pencil," Riri squealed and grabbed it. She had ranted about coffee getting spilled all over her old one.

Shuri 's heart warmed at the sight. She just saw that 3 year old girl from the picture. A small girl just excited about science.

"Shall we, my love?" Shuri held out her arm.

"We shall," Shuri said, linking her arm with Shuri's.

Shuri smiled to herself. 'She's going to make a great Queen one day.'
